Fitted wardrobes either side, reeded glass doors down the middle, and a four-poster bed waiting just beyond them. Full house renovation in Fulham — the kind of hallway that makes getting dressed feel like an occasion.

Another sliding door finished in Hammersmith, and the staircase behind it decided it wasn’t going to be upstaged.

Reeded glass on a black steel frame separates the hallway from the living room without closing it off, and the original balusters — properly sculptural, not your standard spindles — got restored rather than replaced. Cornicing stayed put too.

Another kitchen extension completed in Hammersmith with the rooflights doing a lot of the work when it comes to bringing natural light into the space.

The stone island becomes the centre of the room, while full-width glazing opens the kitchen onto the garden. And that built-in bookshelf wall? A detail worth lingering over.

Full house renovation in Hammersmith. The original staircase stayed, restored and finished with a striped runner that carries all the way up. Steel-framed reeded glass doors now divide the front reception from the rest of the house — light gets through, the two rooms still feel separate.

Built-in shelving either side of the fireplace, original cornicing kept, and a wood-burning stove now sits where the old grate was.

White walls. Striped runner doing all the talking. And a straight line of sight from the front door clean through to the kitchen at the back.

Another full house renovation finished in Hammersmith — sometimes the boldest decision is knowing when not to compete with a good staircase runner.

Another kitchen extension, another home that feels twice the size it used to be.

Streatham — new space out the back, new oak floors, recessed lighting, and a living room that carries the same calm right through the house. Small changes on paper, big difference in real life.

Rooflight overhead, bifolds open to the garden, marble splashback running the full length of the wall. This is what a ground floor looks like when the extension is designed around how you actually want to live. We built this from the structure up — and the kitchen was the last thing to go in, not the first thing to be decided. If this is the standard you’re looking for in London, send us a message or visit dominantconstruction.co.uk
