A & M Restoration and Conservation Based in London, we provide traditional antique restoration and conservation of veneered, gilded, pa Established in 2000 after finishing 5 years studies.

We are both originally from Sweden and have been in London for 28 years. We are commited to providing a good personal service which has over the years proved to be one of our strong points as a company. When working on bigger projects we have a fantastic team of conservators and conservation students helping us. Our work is divided between private clients, the Royal Household and Royal Collection.

We have carried out work in Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Holyrood Palace, Clarence House, Highgrove House, Sandringham and Frogmore House. Some of the work consists of giving advice and training staff, how to care for the collection as well as practical conservation of objects. Preventive conservation is one of our great passions as it prolongs the life of objects and interiors without minimising the usage. In 2008 we were involved in the preparation work of the opening of Dumfries House, Scotland. In 2011 we were cleaning the plasterwork in the Robert Adam room in the Lloyds building. We also work for interior designers, property companies and furniture shops. Our skills in colour matching and surface treatment is often required by them. In spring 2007 we completed a course in advanced gilding at FlorenceArt in Florence Italy. In 2009 we were awarded the Queen Elizabeth Schollarship to do a 10 day intensive course in restoration of Gilding in Bologna. Previous we had extensive gilding eperience from Metropolitan Muesum of Art in New York. We keep up to date with new techniques and are always interested to expand our knowledge.

This Sunday 12th July 11am-1pm, we are showing an historically decorated Isokon minimum flat. No need to book, £10 charge per person. The museum is open 11am-4pm and is free to visit.

Här finns en glasskiosk med lokalproducerad glass från Holmsunds glassfabrik, i gårdshuset kan du kliva in i min lilla värld av keramik och design.

I helgen 10-12 juli finns det möjlighet att skapa med lera ~ kom och slå dig ned i trädgården för att tumma en kopp, vas eller liten skål. Jag bränner sedan din skapelse i en keramikugn och glaserar ditt alster så att det blir tåligt och kan användas. 150 kr per kopp/vas/ grej.

"New Furniture Incorporated presents, for the first time in the United States furniture designed by the distinguished Finnish architects, Alvar and Aino Aalto, and made in Finland under their supervision." The company New Furniture Incorporated was founded in 1936 but only signed a contract to sell Aalto furniture in March 1938. This was the only catalogue produced by the company with an accompanying price list issued in January 1939. The company was dissolved later in 1939 after being up for sale for some months. The back cover features an installation photograph from the MoMA exhibition 'Alvar Aalto: Architecture and Furniture'.

100 words for 100 years.

One word for every year Sir David Attenborough has walked this earth, watched it and asked us to love it as much as he does.

Born in Isleworth, drawn to nature, armed with curiosity, a camera and a voice unlike any other. He gave us the oceans, the rainforests, creatures we never knew existed and ones we can't afford to lose.

Broadcaster. Naturalist. Storyteller. National treasure. A boy who collected fossils and became the world's greatest storyteller.

100 years on, the planet is still his subject, and we’re still his audience.
