A recent call to a long term commercial customers home led us to find the main earth missing, RCD and main switches broken and a fault on one of the ring finals turning the earth into a heater which led to melting in part of the circuit. We upgraded everything (Board, main earth and 100mA upfront time delayed RCD as it’s a TT system) and repaired the ring. Now working perfectly and nice and safe.

One of our solar service customers took full advantage of our free drone survey offer this month enabling us to check every panel and provide them a full report without the extra cost of scaffold or the safety risks involved in high level roof work.

Today’s work was preparation for data install to a new live-streaming area and solar panel clean (First time in around four years). Some very stubborn staining to the panels but for the most part they were much cleaner.

This week we have a board upgrade to rental a flat in central London (Now completed), site visits for large solar services and large scale emergency lighting tests and the the start of another mid sized EICR programme in West London continuing a very busy October for us.

Plenty of testing going on at the moment with a large project of 29 blocks going through their 5 yearly EICR’s. It’s always good to be asked back to test the site and it’s always interesting seeing what’s changed over that time period with the MFT x1 making it a breeze.
