🔥🧯Fire Marshals / Waking Watch deployed in London

Case study: We received a late call on Friday last month to provide a fire marshal over the weekend and a few days the following week at a high-rise building where scaffolding is erected and cladding is being removed.

Within hours, we deployed a fire marshal on site, complete with a red fire hi-vest and horn for the waking watch to raise the alarm in case of fire.

The next shift, two thieves broke into the site and stole a pallet forklift while our staff was patrolling.

Our waking watch, also an SIA licensed door supervisor, chased the thieves and caught them down the street. One thief, wearing a red hi-vis vest, claimed he was a worker with permission to take the forklift, but our waking watch didn’t believe him and retrieved the forklift after a brief scuffle.

Our staff called the police, who arrived within minutes and conducted local investigations. Our control also notified the client’s representatives of the incident and arranged to re-secure the site.

About the role

We are currently recruiting a Male or Female SIA Door Supervisor for a friendly bar in Clapton, London E5 for regular Friday and Saturday evening shifts. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Requirements:

Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
Right to Work in the UK
Preferably minimum 1 year experience working as a Door Supervisor
Must be local to Clapton / East London area
Professional appearance and good communication skills
Reliable, punctual and customer-focused

Responsibilities:

Meet and greet customers and guests in a professional and friendly manner
Monitor and control entry to ensure only authorised patrons, guests, or customers with reservations are permitted access
Carry out searching, monitoring, and patrol procedures in and around the venue
Ensure patrons behave appropriately and do not cause excessive noise or disturbances inside or outside the venue
Conduct ID checks to prevent underage persons from entering the premises
Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the shift
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents or conflicts when required
Enforce venue and licensing requirements, including politely moving customers from restricted areas when required
