🐝🌱 Poetry in motion on 'insect superhighways'!

We're delighted to be featured in the Autumn 2026 issue of Greenscape magazine (page 16). The feature covers Bournemouth's first green-roofed bus stops, which are planted with our award-winning M-Tray® modular green roof.

Spoken word artist Annotate has even written a poem about them, Redefining the Wait. It celebrates how these shelters bring plants and wildlife back into the city.

The bus stops are a joint venture with Bauer Outdoor Media.

Each living roof:

✅ gives pollinators food and shelter
✅ helps manage stormwater run-off
✅ helps reduce the urban heat island effect
✅ adds a pocket of biodiversity to everyday streets

The initiative has also been shortlisted in the Highways Awards 2026. 🏆

Fire safety and design in perfect harmony: Creechurch Place rooftops

Wallbarn transformed a central London rooftop into a stylish, fire-rated terrace at Creechurch Place.

With the building standing over 18 metres high, stringent Class A fire regulations applied. We delivered a fully non-combustible system using MetalPad Ex pedestals, I-Plus aluminium joists and FireDeck’s ExaDeck ceramic boards. Concrete slabs were integrated to provide the 85 kg/m² ballast required for wind-uplift protection—achieved without compromising on sleek aesthetics or installation efficiency.

Installed in May 2025, this 150 sqm project, completed with AB Building and ISW UK, shows how intelligent design, early estimating and seamless collaboration can ensure both regulation compliance and durability for heavy-footfall spaces.
