Drinking espresso and being 'Italian'. Drawing inspiration from life experiences of successful dancer, a theatre actor and a policemen. What do they have to do with design? To him everything. The awareness of space, the acknowledgment of gesture, the patience to understand a situation and most importantly to listen to the heart of the subject. His style is not to have a style. Everything is tailored to a specific client and to a specific site. To him Style is an invention of the insecure.

''I go to a concert and I observe people pattern and behaviour before listening to the music. I go to a dance show and I look at the costume’s before enjoying the dance. I go to a bar and I touch the counter before ordering a drink. I enter an art gallery and look at the lighting before admiring the art. I enter a house and I feel the atmosphere before greeting the host. Every gesture, every movement, the way we hold a glass or grab a fork. The way we dress, the way we behave, this is all a story that only needs to be read and translated into our living environment.''

The Memory of a Tablecloth

A table inspired by something usually ignored: the way a tablecloth wrinkles.

The Pinched Table takes a familiar gesture — the creasing of a tablecloth — and turns it into structure.
CNC-milled oak, shaped through folds and tensions, it becomes both surface and system: for objects, for food, for moments of gathering.
A functional sculpture where the accidental becomes intentional.
