bmd Architects continue to successfully apply their skills and resources to achieve optimum solution.

bmd Architects LLP, formally the Bader Miller Davis Partnership, was founded in 1958 in offices in High Holborn by Lawrence Bader and Edward Miller, both now retired. The Practice is still based in Central London in a converted Victorian Grain Warehouse in the City of London. Over the almost 60 years bmd Architects have been in practice, they have successfully applied their skills and resources to achieve optimum solutions for their clients. They regard their clients requirements as the focus of their design development ensuring that the building not only works as a form but works as an environment. The basics of a building is that it is easy to build, economic to construct, efficient to heat and maintain and yet is aesthetically pleasing to both the building user and public at large. To achieve this, bmd Architects pay particular attention to detail combining principles of traditional methods of construction with current technology. Whilst they have developed considerable experience within certain fields of Architecture, they have a vast range of experience covering a broad spectrum of building types. bmd Architects do not have a design formula that is adapted to each individual project. Instead, each project is approached from first principles, dealing with its own specific issues and requirements. bmd architects enjoys a reputation for providing appropriate and sensitive design responses to Clients needs producing practical and efficient buildings. In 2025, bmd architects opened up an office in Jersey int eh Channel Islands, that will be focusing on domestic architecture.

has the most luxurious showroom in South Kensington. Beautiful italian leather furniture paired with bespoke modular tables and shelving units. Everything is incredibly tactile and comfortable.

We visited Pooky on our recent trip to London to see their beautiful lights. The have such a huge range and some really smart alternatives such as wire free wall lamps, for when getting mains power to an area is not possible. Such a great product, the bulb is magnitised and comes off the bracket to be recharged. Great for our thick Jersey granite walls.

It is amazing when the showroom itself is as beautiful as the showroom contents. is a beautiful space which plays with light and dark and celebrates transitions between its floors, whilst also displaying their beautiful modern furniture.

We visited whilst in Chelsea and discovered a world of beautiful restored antiques. What makes Sigmar special is their focus on modernist furniture from Scandinavia and Central Europe. They source, restore and recontextualise original pieces. The ethos is for sustainability and responsible consumption. We loved looking around their at their pieces, including a genuine chair. So much inspiration!

Whilst in London and took the time to visit some inspiring showrooms. is one of our favourites. This South African rug company hand crafts the most beautiful rungs and wall hangings from wool and goats wool. No only is the craftmanship stunning but the company supports the local community back in South Africa. Thank you Chantal for showing us your wonderful products.
