The Scope:
We are the designers and installers as per the customer’s instruction. We provide the designing, installing, testing and commissioning (within legal parameters – IET Wiring Regulations 2018 BS7671). We work on domestic installations with a supply with a nominal voltage of 230V AC Single Phase, with a frequency of 50HZ supplied through distributers cut out fuse and distributors earthing arrangements. The Purpose, Supplies and Structure:
We check maximum demand and diversity, earthing arrangements, compatibility and continuity of service by assessing the purpose, supply and structure. Function:
We complete the function of components for cables, switches, isolators, fuses, circuit breakers and consumer unit assembly to provide protection from overload and fault currents. Protection:
We check the protective devices from the distributors cut out fuse through every final circuit to the accessory. This includes protection from overload, short circuits, earth faults, automatic disconnection in case of fault, additional protection by RCD 30mA, protection against over current with earthing and bonding. Insulation of live parts, barriers or enclosures providing at least the degree of protection IPXXB or IP2X and IPXXD or IP4X, obstacles and placing out of reach. Isolation and Switching:
The Repairing, Replacing, Altering or Adding of Isolating and Switching gear (at the origin of installation for every circuit and for every item of equipment) to meet the requirements of the IET Wiring Regulations 2018 BS7671. Labelling:
Identification arranged and identifiable so that the installation has diagrams and documentation indicating – to include but not limited to the following:
the type and composition of the circuit, points of utilisation served, number and size of conductors and type of wiring
Compliance with regulation 410.3.2 - Appropriate Combination of provision of basic protection and fault protection
Functional protection, isolation and switching, and locations
Any circuit or equipment vulnerable to electrical tests as required in section 6 of BS7671 – inspection and testing
Certification and Reporting:
The customer will be provided with an electrical installation certificate, schedule of inspection (for new installation work only) and schedule of test results. i)The customer may also be provided with an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), condition report inspection schedule and schedule of test results. ii) The EICR is valid for the length of the certificate, or change of the occupancy (whichever comes first). Materials:
All Materials are at the Expense of the Customer. All receipts of purchases by us will be handed to the customer as proof of purchase. Any items purchased by us should be reimbursed within 24 hours or at the end of every week, to coincide with labour payments, which ever is agreed. We also offer free sourcing and collection from merchants. Any spare equipment on hand (such as electrical screws, earthing sleeves, connecter blocks, fuses – 3 and 13amp, masonry, wood or plasterboard screws and wall plugs) will be provided at no additional cost.
