• Minimising site waste and using resources efficiently.
• Our scaffolding boards are sourced from PEFC-certified suppliers and sustainably managed forests.
• Giving back to nature. For our 70th anniversary we planted 70 trees in the National Forest.
• We take steps to control water, dust and noise pollution across our sites.
• We work carefully around wildlife, flora and fauna, particularly on sensitive heritage sites.
• Our team are trained to understand and follow environmental legislation and good practice.

Back in 1950, our Founder, Pat Hanifan, scraped together enough money to purchase one second-hand lorry, a handful of materials, and the rent for premises in a bombed-out churchyard in Westminster.

Today, we’ve grown to become one of London’s leading independent scaffolders.

Rare and unseen footage from 1967 showing our founder, Pat Hanifan, and his family at one of London’s most famous landmarks - Nelson’s Colum.

Coventry Scaffolding was involved in the major scaffolding works on the iconic monument, and Pat was clearly very proud to showcase the company’s work.

Both of Pat’s sons, Paul and Perry, now Managing Directors of the company also enjoyed the experience and the unique opportunity to be so close to the monument.

It’s a wonderful glimpse into our history, and a reminder of some of the incredible projects Coventry Scaffolding has been involved with over the years.

We recently conjured up the scaffolding for the hoarding at the brand-new Harry Potter Shop on Oxford Street, which has been attracting plenty of attention from passers-by and wizarding fans - as you can imagine!
