Full strip down service on this 16 year old Potterton Suprima and investigate why the system is taking ages to heat up. It has been overheating and cycling on/off while it’s trying to heat up.

It has previously had new 2 PCB’s, new temp sensors and system flush out by previous engineers trying to figure out the overheating issue.

After investigating and carrying out various tests, it was found that the flow and return at the boiler were connected incorrectly. Fitted wrong from day one. 16 years piped up reversed.

Drained system, connected flow and returns correctly…boiler now working like a dream.

House heats up in no time and no more overheating/cycling
