This Barnhurst project is a complete transformation from an uneven, unusable front garden into a professionally installed block paved driveway, built with proper groundwork and attention to detail throughout. The combination of structural integrity and clean design ensures both longevity and visual impact.

The driveway was constructed using high-quality block paving, laid in a 45-degree herringbone pattern for maximum strength and durability under vehicle load.

A full excavation was carried out across the entire working area to ensure a solid foundation.

* All existing materials including turf, soil, and old concrete were removed
* Waste was cleared and responsibly disposed of
* Excavation carried out to the correct depth to accommodate sub-base and paving
* A MOT Type 1 sub-base was installed and compacted in layers to create a strong, stable foundation
* Levels and falls were carefully set to allow for effective water runoff away from the property
* Durable edge restraints were installed to define the driveway shape and hold the structure in place
* A sharp sand bedding layer was screeded to prepare for block installation

* Main driveway laid using charcoal block paving
* A contrasting light-coloured border installed to frame the area and enhance visual appeal
