Monthly emergency lighting tests, also known as the ‘flick tests’, are a short functional test simulating failure of the mains power supply which ensures the lamp switches on and illuminates correctly. The test should be done using the secure device key, commonly called a fish key due to its shape. The fish key should be used rather than switching off the mains lighting power, which may be hazardous to other occupants.

We now do Fire Risk Assessments.
Did you know The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the associated Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 states that a Fire risk assessments is a legal requirement for all non-domestic properties in the UK. Where more than 5 persons are employed they must be in writing.

They are also a requirement for the common areas of residential flats and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO’s).

The maintenance and testing of a Fire Detection and Alarm systems is a legal requirement to protect employees and the general public in the event of a fire.
As members of The UK Fire Association, we offer Fire Alarm Testing that you can trust.

FIRE ALARM SERVICING INCLUDES:
* Smoke, Heat and CO Detectors visually examined to ensure they have not been, covered, painted or damaged, and then function tested
* Manual call points function tested (Only Category L, P & M Systems)
* Where fitted, remote indicators checked for correct operation
* Audible and Visual Alarm Devices tested to ensure they operate correctly
* Accessible cables and fixings inspected for damage and correct installation
* Testing and inspection of control panel and battery supply (Only Category L, P & M Systems)
* Issuing Certificate of Services and completion of fire alarm logbook entry
