Closing out the summer on site in Wales.

A season of progress, captured as the evening light settles over the project. The extension is taking shape, the landscape works are under way, and the house is beginning to reconnect with its remarkable setting.

Something is taking shape in the garden.

Behind the brickwork and scaffolding, the next stage of this build is already under way: a new swimming pool.

For now, it is excavation, structure and a very busy construction site. Soon, this view will look entirely different.

This room has a little bit of everything we love about London.

Original-style cornicing and ceiling plasterwork sit comfortably alongside sculptural lighting, rich colour, contemporary furniture and a beautifully simple herringbone floor. Nothing has been stripped of its personality to make it feel new.

A modern interior that still remembers the house it belongs to.

The chandelier sets the mood, the marble gives the room its presence, and the illuminated arches turn everyday objects into part of the composition. Even the chessboard feels perfectly at home.

A staircase you notice.

Black timber, stone underfoot and warm pools of light bring a sharper edge to the traditional detailing. The panelling follows the architecture rather than competing with it, while the dark joinery gives the whole composition definition.

And perhaps the best detail is the one that isn’t fixed: someone actually moving through it.

The kitchen has left the kitchen.

The island is conceived almost as a piece of furniture: richly veined stone, precise geometry and enough presence to anchor the entire room.

Above, the glazed roof draws daylight deep into the space, allowing the character of the stone to shift as the light changes throughout the day.

The smallest room in the house.
The biggest personality.

A powder room is one of the few places where you can be completely unapologetic.

Jungle walls. A tiger in the corner. Dark stone. Warm brass.

Clapham, from the inside.

Interior design becomes far more interesting when it belongs to the architecture rather than simply sitting within it. Here, material, proportion, joinery and light were considered as part of the build itself, giving the finished home a character that feels entirely its own.

In Stroud Green Conservation Area, we turned a dark Victorian terrace that had been stuck in planning for years into a light-filled family home.

Generous black-framed glazing opens onto a serene pebble courtyard, with exposed oak beams overhead and a bold rust-orange swivel chair adding mid-century character. Even the dog seems perfectly at home in the calm light and quiet neutrals.
