Lazenby Polished Concrete

Lazenby Polished Concrete Specialists in polished concrete floors and surfaces, for both commercial and residential projects.

At Lazenby, we are specialists in creating bespoke polished concrete floors and surfaces. Our passion is bringing people’s design dreams to reality, and we provide an array of iconic concrete colours and finishes to suit any commercial or residential project. Established in 1990, we have been the market leaders in decorative and polished concrete for over a quarter of a century, and for a good reason. We pride ourselves on delivering quality service, by listening to your needs. No two projects are the same, and that’s what we love about the versatility of polished concrete. As well as flooring, we create concrete worktops, stairs and outdoor patios with a range of pre-cast colour matches. No matter the size of the project, we are always looking to push the boundaries of what is possible and bring the supreme touch of modern sophistication that we’re known for, to any space.

Making Old Street “new” again.

With over 1000m2 of our Basalt polished concrete floors across eight floors, this project is truly a feat of engineering. Meticulous calculations ensured that the original 1960s concrete structure would support the new floors, with concrete poured to an impressive 100mm depth. Not to mention precise joint plans streamlining the vast satin-finished floors on the upper levels.

We love the resplendent reception area where Light Natural polished concrete was precision installed. Recesses in the concrete allowed the main contractor to insert bespoke wooden inlays, adding a traditional timber twist to AHMM’s striking contemporary design.

Looking for design inspiration? We love the urban organic vibe in this gorgeous refurbishment project. Our concrete covers the entire ground floor with 40m2 of our 100mm polished concrete, and another 20m2 cast 20mm low to allow for a timber floor covering. The flowing split level design is separated by a timber step, perfectly balancing the striking raw materials.

An investment today will yield rewards for decades.

Renovating with polished concrete allows homeowners to maximise their investment and prioritise their needs, capitalising on its timeless aesthetic, fluid design possibilities and unbeatable durability.

Coupled with powerful thermal efficiency, polished concrete floors and surfaces can even future-proof your home against rising energy prices.

“If you know you’re going to want that beautiful, durable floor eventually, the math favours doing it now and enjoying it for the next forty years.”

With rising labour and materials costs, a renovation that feels like an extravagance today could become impossible in just a few years. Factor in the high cost of relocating to your “dream home” and it’s no wonder homeowners are choosing to invest in their current property.

“Polished concrete is built to look as good in twenty years as it does today. That investment doesn't just improve your home for the time being — it becomes part of the long-term value of the property itself.”

Our pre-cast products are created by a team of Lazenby’s skilled master craftsmen based in our Somerset factory.

Our commercial concrete installations include a range of reception desks, worktops, vanities and sinks. Everything is handcrafted to our clients’ exact specifications and completely unique.

For floors, our team produces concrete tiles up to a maximum size of 1200mm x 1200mm for internal use and up to 1000mm x 1000mm for external use. We also construct stair treads and risers to match our in situ polished concrete flooring.

Each pre-cast product requires a purpose-built timber mould which is sprayed with a release agent to ensure smooth extraction after the concrete is poured and cured. Our products are then sealed and polished before being carefully packaged for distribution.

With an incredible range of colours and decades of experience, our team can produce almost any type of pre-cast decorative concrete item.

It’s not about spending — it’s about investing.

“Polished concrete is durable enough to last a lifetime, efficient enough to lower your bills, and beautiful enough to make the investment feel worthwhile every single day.”

Our clients across the UK are choosing to invest in quality renovations to create and future-proof their dream homes. A renovation avoids the high cost of relocating and, instead, allows you to customise your abode to your precise needs and way of life.

More often than not, our clients prioritise investing in statement flooring, kitchen worktops and surfaces for maximum impact. Utilising premium polished concrete products in the heart of your home will yield rewards for decades.

At Lazenby, we understand that renovations can be daunting: they take time, patience, and of course, a significant financial investment. But with labour and material costs continuing to rise, there’s no time like the present.

Still wondering if it’s the right time? We broke down why homeowners are choosing to invest in quality now. Read the full blog here: https://www.lazenby.co.uk/why-homeowners-are-choosing-to-refurbish-rather-than-move/

“It makes everything else sing…” Interior designer Nichola McKerrow-Todd went as far as changing the flooring structure in her Edwardian home to make a polished concrete installation possible. Polished concrete was her first choice from the outset, thanks to its durability and depth of finish. She knew that it would be the perfect flooring to complete her vision for a bold and elegant colour and materials palette inspired by Biophilic principles. 🌿

Our timeless Cream Buff polished concrete floor acts as the heart of this North London extension, helping transform a dark, low-ceilinged rear space into a versatile, sociable kitchen, dining and patio area.

Flowing through the large sliding doors and out into the garden, around 80m² of polished concrete creates a natural connection between the kitchen, dining space and two separate patio areas.

The concrete continues beyond the floor, with a sculptural 3m kitchen island and a 5m worktop, both cast in situ in a complementary colour. Curves in the island create a relaxed breakfast bar, while the 70mm-thick worktop incorporates cut-outs for the sink and hob.

The pre-cast concrete splashback, cast in a statement pink, provides a bold contrast to the softer tones of the floor, island and worktop.

Different applications, colours and forms, all working together to create an effortlessly cohesive space.

The project has been shortlisted for Home Transformation of the Year at the British Homes Awards 2026 — and we couldn't agree more.

Lazenby MicroLux comes in eight of our most popular polished concrete colours. While we can’t guarantee a 100% colour match between traditional polished concrete and MicroLux, our shades have been designed to seamlessly complement each other across a range of surfaces.

It is also possible to create bespoke colours upon request.

As well as a variety of colours, we can also offer a variety of sealants to give either a matt, satin or gloss finish.

Our work with London’s historic Victoria and Albert Museum is complete and we’re thrilled to share how it looks.

More than 4000 m2 of our signature Diamond Polished Concrete spans four levels, featuring matching benches. The sophisticated, textured surface incorporates two different types of limestone, along with white aggregate to create a warm, monochrome aesthetic.

Intelligent design allowed our team of master craftsmen to produce 700 matching treads and landing tiles in various sizes, all in our Somerset factory. The black GRC nosing was a ground breaking design that was developed by Lazenby. This featured a black concrete strip that was set within the diamond polished tread which offers a striking contrast to the lighter-toned flooring as well as achieving the required contrasts for DDA compliance

With nearly 3 million objects dating back 5000 years, the V&A is the world’s largest museum of decorative arts and design. We’re honoured to collaborate with such an iconic institution.

Pawfect for all the family 🐾

With two cats and two dogs, a low-maintenance and stain-resistant floor was non-negotiable in this stylish home renovation.

Although our clients loved the polished concrete aesthetic, significant depth issues meant that installation was impossible without removing the entire floor. Such restrictions are common in refurb projects so we introduced our clients to Lazenby MicroLux.

MicroLux is a lightweight concrete alternative with a similar luxurious finish to our flagship product. At just 3mm thick, it can be installed quickly and efficiently over existing floors making it ideal for this type of project.

Our clients loved the rich and creamy tones of Cotswold Buff, a colour that exudes a sense of peace, calm and tranquility. We installed 40m2 across this contemporary open-plan kitchen and living space, with underfloor heating concealed within the screed.

The result is a completely seamless floor and an effortlessly serene interior.
