This week the project team on the Carrington Street project were invited to take the first steps through the new walkway between Carrington Street and Brick Street/Piccadilly, marking the re-creation of an 18th Century pedestrian route through the plot which had been inaccessible for almost 300 years.
BBUK detailed the walkway, and designed a ground floor private courtyard garden (seen in today's photo) which provides private amenity space for the residential units at this luxury mixed-use scheme designed by AHMM

We have designed a lot of roof gardens over the years - This example at Ruskin Square is set on the ninth floor of an apartment building designed by AHMM. The space has loungers set into a lawn from where residents will can enjoy sweeping views northwards towards central London. Blocks of mixed perennial planting in corten steel planters provide seasonal colour and movement. A large communal dining space in the garden’s centre is shaded by a steel and timber pergola.⠀

This exhibition explored the remarkable power and potential of soil, through a range of artworks, artefacts and innovative approaches. The photo shows a series of artworks by Dutch artist Herman de Vries using soil as pigment, all the soil samples were gathered on the Greek island of Crete.
