A restaurant is experienced through more than its interiors alone.

This project is an example of different disciplines coming together to create one experience. Interior architecture and lighting were developed as part of one shared vision, with light shaping atmosphere, highlighting materiality and influencing how the space is experienced.

By bringing both disciplines together, every element works towards the same intention, creating an environment that feels cohesive and considered.

Brands we are inspired by: Foresso.

Made in Birmingham from offcuts of British timber, Foresso transforms material that might otherwise go to waste into a surface designed to last.

We love its balance of character and responsibility. Every timber chip retains its natural grain, giving the material depth and individuality, while its circular approach allows boards to be repaired, reused or reground into new sheets at the end of their life.

Design is rarely about replicating a place, it’s about capturing a feeling.

Our client described alpine chalets as the place where they felt safest and most themselves. That became the foundation of the concept.

Rather than borrowing the aesthetic, we translated the emotion into a Notting Hill home through traditional architectural detailing, bespoke joinery, and intimate moments woven throughout the space.

Inspired by the structural language of cardboard tubes, the concept extends throughout the entire space, from the pendant above the counter and the lighting behind the seating to the menu itself, crafted from cardboard.

Sustainability begins with material choices. 

Foldaway Bookshop shows how cardboard, a lightweight, recyclable and reusable material, can be transformed into architecture, furniture and atmosphere, proving that temporary interventions don’t need permanent environmental impact.
