Material selection plays an equally important role. We consider how each finish will interact with natural light, surrounding materials, daily use, and the architectural character of the space itself.

The warmth of the American black walnut is elevated by a subtle maple inlay, introducing contrast without disrupting the overall softness of the space. The painted cabinetry creates a gentle transition, allowing the timber to remain the hero while ensuring the composition never feels visually heavy. Even the Patagonian granite worktop was selected with the same design language in mind.

When a kitchen is thoughtfully designed, materials begin to speak to one another, transitions feel natural, and every decision feels intentional.

The Oriel ovens are positioned not just as a visual feature, but to support the natural ergonomics of the kitchen. By placing them at a comfortable working height and close to the main preparation and serving zones, the layout reduces unnecessary bending, reaching, and walking.
