The best reviews start with a caveat.

"I do not post reviews, but in this case I could not but do so. This company sets the bar high. They are extremely efficient, professional and attentive to their customer's needs. I have not dealt with a company with such integrity."

We did not ask for that one.

Integrity in this trade has a fairly unromantic meaning. The price at the end matches the price at the start. The programme you were given is the programme you get. And if something goes wrong, you hear it from us before you find it yourself.

That is most of what you are actually buying. Not the ceiling.

Signs your ceiling was priced by someone who's never touched a tile:

- The grid is at 600mm and the tiles are 610mm
- The recessed downlights sit on the grid, not in it
- The compartment wall stops at the ceiling grid on both sides
- The cut tiles at the walls are all different sizes
- There is a tile that has been painted with emulsion because someone stepped on it

A fire-rated ceiling is not a fire-rated tile in a standard grid.

The rating comes from the assembly. Grid + tile + fixings + edge. Board + insulation + framing + tape spec. Test certificates cover the full system, not the components in isolation.

Swap one element, the rating is invalid. We check every time. If the spec has been substituted, we flag it before we price.

Six-month ceilings refurbishment across a working primary school in Cranleigh. Programme was at risk when we came in. We mobilised in five days and delivered on time for the new term.

Tape and jointing gets judged twice. Once by you, and again three weeks later when the lights go on.

A contractor client on Google:

That is a contractor reviewing a subcontractor. They know what to look for.

Quick technical note while we are here. Level 4 is fine under matt paint in normal lighting. Put a critical light down a wall, or a dark or gloss finish on it, and you want Level 5, which is a skim coat across the whole surface rather than just joints and fixings. Specifying it right is far cheaper than reskimming a floor plate.
