🔥 Back in South East London for another heat pump installation!

We’re back on a project where we previously installed the pre-insulated pipework while major changes and refurbishment works were taking place throughout the property.

Now it’s time for the main event. 👌

We’re:
🔹 Removing the existing Vaillant combi boiler
🔹 Installing a new Vaillant aroTHERM plus air source heat pump
🔹 Fitting a Vaillant hot water cylinder
🔹 Connecting everything into the pre-installed insulated pipework
🔹 Setting up and commissioning the complete system

The aim is to have everything finished, tested and fully commissioned by Friday. ⚙️🔥

Another property moving away from a traditional gas combi and over to a modern, efficient low-temperature heat pump system.

We’ll share the finished installation once it’s up and running. 👀

♨️ Putney Heat Pump Installation — Complete & Commissioned

Another one over the line in Putney, South West London.

Following on from our previous post, this installation is now fully completed, commissioned and up and running.

We removed the existing 30kW Worcester Bosch boiler and replaced it with the new 7kW Vaillant aroTHERM plus air source heat pump, while retaining the customer’s existing hot water cylinder.

A good example of why upgrading to a heat pump doesn’t necessarily mean ripping everything out. Where existing equipment is suitable, we’ll design the system around it — keeping what works and upgrading what needs upgrading.

✅ Existing hot water cylinder retained
✅ New heat pump controls installed
✅ System pipework upgraded and fully insulated
✅ System commissioned and optimised
✅ Cleaner, low-temperature heating system

From Gas Boiler to Air Source Heat Pump: A New Putney Upgrade Begins

Today, we’re on site in Putney, London, transforming the way this home is heated. The existing 30kW Worcester Bosch CDI gas boiler is being removed to make way for a more efficient, low-temperature heating system designed for modern, lower-carbon home comfort.

This project includes:

♻️ Removing the existing gas boiler
🔥 Installing a new air source heat pump
💧 Retaining the existing hot water cylinder where suitable
📐 Configuring and commissioning the system for efficient low-temperature operation

The project highlights an important point: moving to a heat pump does not always mean replacing every part of an existing heating system. With the right assessment, suitable components can often be retained, helping create a practical and efficient upgrade.

Another step forward on this Grant heat pump installation 🔥➡️🌱

The existing radiators are coming out and being replaced with new column radiators, correctly sized to deliver the required heat output at the lower flow temperatures of the new heat pump system.

This project is being delivered by NRG in London, bringing our experience together under one name as we move forward with high-quality, properly designed renewable heating systems across London and the surrounding areas.

And this time we let Vinnie the apprentice loose with the camera… 🎥😂
Safe to say, Spielberg’s job is safe for another year.
