A hidden garden escape 🌿

Tucked quietly behind the hustle and bustle, this below ground garden room was designed to blend seamlessly with its surroundings. Wrapped in natural cedar and topped with a living sedum roof, it feels completely at home within the landscape.

This extra space was created for vocal practice, a private, peaceful studio just steps from the house yet tucked far enough away to feel like a true retreat.

Built to fit a compact space without disturbing the garden’s natural beauty, this project is proof that thoughtful design can create harmony between architecture and nature.

A new design for a seriously talented couple to create, work and feel inspired 🎶 all without leaving the garden!

This bespoke garden room has two spaces: a bright home office and a fully sound-proofed music studio, complete with acoustic panelling, specialist insulation, double-layer plasterboard and a sedum roof to soften the sound of rain.

The exterior is finished with Millboard composite decking and sleek burnt Siberian larch cladding, with a clean overhang for a modern finish. Two sensor lights and a discreet camera offer added security.

We also kept the mature tree as part of the design, blending old garden character with a fresh new space. And of course, the huge circular window steals the show — the perfect spot to look out, zone in, and find a little inspiration.

A space that works as hard as they do and looks good doing it.

A 6x4m bespoke garden room, crafted as an at home fitness space with built-in storage, tailored for those who value both form and function.

We laid cork-rubber matting over engineered oak flooring for a surface that is as refined as it is resilient.

Western red cedar cladding, hand oiled with Osmo to bring out the timber’s natural richness, wraps the structure in warmth and clean lines. It sits elevated on a yellow balau platform, leading into relaid original London cobblestones that honour the garden’s history. Along the base, reclaimed London brick creates a subtle edge that grounds the design.

We even shaped the cobbles around an existing silver birch tree, letting the landscape inform the architecture.

Whether it’s fitness, focus, or a space to disconnect…this is outdoor architecture made for a more intentional way of living.

This bespoke garden room is fully wrapped in sustainably sourced West African Sapele, forming a warm, architectural silhouette with 45mm battens and a perfectly uniform 5mm shadow gap.

Every element is intentional, from the striking overhang to a hidden storage room, seamlessly disguised within the cladding.

Millboard decking in Ebony Ash meets engineered oak flooring inside through a sunk bifold frame, creating a single, uninterrupted level and effortless indoor-outdoor flow. We also integrated an air conditioning unit and designed an angled internal wall to transform dead space into practical, elegant storage.

This is more than a garden room, it’s a statement of design-led living.

Tucked between London’s rooftops and skyline, this garden room brings bold, modern design into an urban setting. Angled architecture, charred Siberian larch cladding, and warm evening lighting that highlights every detail.

Fully insulated for all-season use, with black aluminium bifolds and a hand built planter that softens the lines and connects the space to nature.
