A garden room designed around more than just the garden.

For this Brockley project, we created a complete private wellness space, combining a 12m² garden room, bespoke sauna and integrated cold plunge into one considered design.

Externally, the garden room is finished in burnt Siberian larch, giving the building a rich, natural character that sits beautifully alongside the surrounding planting.
Inside, the main room is bright, comfortable and fully climate-controlled, with direct access into the sauna.
One of our favourite details is the sauna itself.
We wanted to achieve a generous 2.5m internal height, matching the garden room, without compromising the proportions of the building. The solution was a subtle step down into the sauna, a small change in level that allowed us to create a much greater sense of height and space inside.

We also constructed the shell for the cold plunge and integrated the finished plunge into the overall design, completing a private wellness space designed to be enjoyed throughout the year.

Then there was the access…

With no side access to the garden, every material had to come through a top-floor window. Timber, structural materials, insulation, cladding and everything else required for the build had to make its way into the garden from above.

It added another layer of planning to the project, but also made the finished result that bit more satisfying.
From the structure and cladding through to the sauna, plunge and finishing details, every part of the project was designed around how the client wanted to use the space.

A brilliant example of what can be achieved with thoughtful design, careful planning and quality craftsmanship.

Designing a garden room doesn’t need to feel complicated.

It usually starts with a conversation about how you want to use the space, whether that’s a home office, studio, gym, wellness room or simply somewhere to escape to at the end of the garden.

From there, we look at the size of the garden, access, positioning, natural light, planning requirements and how the building should sit within the space.

Once the layout is right, we move into the details: glazing, cladding, internal finishes, electrics, heating, storage and any bespoke features that make the room work properly for you.

Every project is different, so we don’t work from a fixed template. The design develops around the garden, the intended use and the way you want the finished space to feel.

From the first idea through to the final design, we’ll guide you through the whole process.

Once your design has been finalised, most of our bespoke garden rooms are completed within 2–4 weeks, depending on their size and specification.

We work with you to design a space that’s tailored to your garden and provide a detailed quotation, usually within a few days.

🏗️ Groundworks
The build begins with site clearance and foundations to create a solid base.

🔨 Structure
Next, we construct the timber frame and roof before installing the doors and windows, bringing the building to life.

✨ Internal & External Finishes
Cladding, insulation, electrics, plastering and decoration are all completed, along with the internet connection and main power supply.

✅ Handover
Once everything has been thoroughly checked, we provide your warranty, certification and hand over a garden room that’s ready to enjoy.
