It was only 5 year ago I did my first ever paid gig at Casa Lola in Caterham, I remember being unable to concentrate at work all day due to how anxious I was in the build up and at the time I had absolutely no one in terms of friends turn up to support me, on top of that I was a few weeks out of the worst break up I’d ever had. Luckily Mark was in there with 6 friends, immediately he came over to reassure me, the whole gig he got everyone in the restaurant involved and even went round with a basket getting everyone to give me a tip. From that day I got my first ever Thursday residency and was able to quit my job and try out music full time.
People like Mark don’t come around often and I can’t explain how much he helped me in my journey in becoming a musician, I admire the Crowe family and how well they have all dealt with this over the years - he will always be remembered by many.
RIP Mark Crowe
