Tilt & Slide Wooden Door Problems in Rotherhithe SE8

Jammed Tilt and Slide Balcony doors in Islington

Our engineers were called to a flat in Islington which had exceptionally heavy tilt and slide doors on the balcony. These have been fitted with twin wheel sets on each side. Fortunately the runners did not need replacing as the parts are very costly. Our engineers managed to realign and repair the doors without the need of replacing any parts.

Bifold door repair in Turnham Green SW9
This aluminium bifold door is not shutting properly because there has been a problem with the alignment. Because of this the lock on the lead door will not match up with the lock keeps on the frame. The bifold door will need to be raised from the middle wheel hinges to realign which will then allow the doors to slide Free of friction and also will allow the doors to lock because there will be aligned with the keeps on the frame.

This is a top corner bracket on a Tilt and Slide door in Ilford IG1. Because the corner bracket is damaged it is preventing the bolts from moving on the far side of the door when the handle is turned. This prevents the door from locking on both sides of the frame. Also along the top the pull arms do not do not activate to pull in because the gearing is also not moving along the top of the door. This damaged corner bracket will need to be replaced so that the gearing can then activate fully around the door when the handle is moved so then allowing the door to pull back in to the closing position and lock.

Repair to Bifold door in Highgate
This Bifolding door in Highgate N6 was scraping against the tracks at the bottom when opening and closing. This was due to Slight movement in the structure of the extension over time. The bifold Door had to be raised and readjusted Against the wheel hinges at the bottom so that it could move freely without resting on the tracks.
