What we see: the work that goes into getting them there 👀

From preparing the beds and setting everything up to stressing the steel and pouring the concrete, each stage needs to be done properly to get the finished panel right.

It takes a team who know their job and take pride in doing it well.

What a few months it's been!

The yard has been busy, the lads have been busy and we've had concrete going out the door left, right and centre 😂

So rather than waffle on about it, here's the last few months at CWP in 10 seconds.

Ever wondered why we thread and stress the beds before pouring the concrete? 👀

The 9.3mm steel strands are threaded along the casting bed, with spread anchors added to create lifting points for the finished panels.

Once everything is in position, the strands are pulled to the required tension and locked in place.
Once that’s done, the bed is ready for the concrete pour!

There’s a lot more going on during a concrete pour than just pouring concrete 👀

Vibration is one of those small but important parts of the process.

It helps the freshly poured concrete settle properly and reduces the risk of air pockets being left behind.
