Out surveying some upcoming summer holiday projects at various schools for Fife Council, one of which was a particularly nostalgic trip to my old primary school.

We’re looking forward to getting involved in the council’s summer holiday programme. With only 6-7 weeks during the holidays it can be an intense time of year

Our recent project at Urquhart Crescent, Dunfermline, has now been off hired and is ready for dismantle.

Tidy project this one, the guys on site done a really good job.

Can anyone guess how many tonnes of material in this one?

Over the next couple of months we’ll be trialing some new systems, watch this space 👀.

First up we have Layher, the OG ring lock system and a great piece of German engineering.

It certainly is a nifty system, although there does seem to be a few good competitors on the market just now.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the modern systems?

Really tidy looking job this one and the guys done really well to pull it out of the bag, with an unfamiliar system and on a tight schedule.

Thanks so much for the invite to Perth Airport with the Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance - SCAA to see how their operations work and to meet their staff.

We’re a proud supporter of this charity and the amazing work they do.

Did you know that this vital service is a charity, that receives no public funding? They rely solely on donations to operate, their volunteers’ time, of which there are around 250, and putting on fundraising events throughout the year.

They do an incredible job of assisting with serious injuries and providing rapid medical assistance to remote areas, all whilst being self funded.

On site pricing up the next phase of works for the expansion project at this distillery.

They’ve been a valued customer of ours for just under 20 years. Credit to Billy and his team for managing the various projects on this site over that time.

Makes you wonder how many barrels have gone out the door in the last 20 years… 🧐

A couple of our scaffolds in Kirkcaldy that were ordered by the local authority as part of our framework scaffolding contract.

Working for the local authority, we are required to have several accreditations and are subject to annual audits. This ensures that we are compliant with current regs and are providing a product that has been constructed safely, and is also safe for our customers.

Both of these scaffolds are looking really tidy. Quality work from the squads involved in these. 👏

The temp roof is now off!

Following a re-roof at this building on Kirkcaldy High Street, we are now in the dismantle phase.

On this build, our customer requested a temporary roof scaffold to allow them to continue works throughout the unpredictable Scottish winter.

The site location caused a few tough obstacles to overcome. The high volume of pedestrians in the area requiring health and safety considerations, and the proximity to the sea causing high wind loads on the covered structure, requiring heavy engineering.

This required thorough planning and design work before we started and the team were able to work safely within the difficulties of the project.

This one was a cracker and we were glad to be involved.

(Hard) hats off to the guys on site and the engineers on this one, a very tidy job.

To round it all off, the sun is out in Kirkcaldy and it’s Friday, happy weekend! ☀️

A small, but interesting job for the team through in Granton.

A suspended scaffold installed to provide safe access for works to the trash screen above the watercourse.

Careful planning and a practical design were key to delivering this safely in an area with unique issues.

Well done to the site and engineering team on this one
