💪 ANOTHER GREAT RESULT FOR THE TEAM! 💪

Today we had a visit from Health & Safety, and we have to say, it was a fantastic way to start the meeting.

The first words we heard were:

“I have never seen such a clean yard.” 👏

Coming from a Health & Safety professional, that was certainly a compliment we were proud to hear!

We’re delighted to say that we came through the inspection with flying colours. ✅

Only two minor advisories were raised, with nothing major requiring attention, and we have been given the green light to continue operating with our current controls and procedures in place.
A particular focus was, of course, silica dust and the measures we have in place to protect our team from exposure.

We take workplace safety, cleanliness and dust control extremely seriously. It’s something we have invested heavily in and will continue to improve as our business grows.

It’s great to have our hard work recognised and to know that we are operating to the standards expected of a professional quartz fabrication business.

📣 FLEXIBLE OFFICE COVER – PART-TIME

We’re looking for someone to help provide some flexible cover in our office.

This is not a full-time position. It’s a flexible role that I’m hoping can work around the right person’s own commitments.

Our office is open 9:30am–4:30pm, and I’m ideally looking for someone who could help for around 4 hours, perhaps 1–2 days a week. Some weeks you may be needed more, some weeks less, and there may even be weeks where you’re not required at all.

The flexibility works both ways — if you know in advance that you’re unavailable for a particular week, that’s absolutely fine. The idea is to find someone where the arrangement suits both of us.

I think this could be ideal for someone looking to earn a bit of extra money while working around school hours or other commitments.
The role would include:

• Organising invoices and paperwork
• Taking details from customers who pop into the office
• Checking and keeping an eye on stock
• General tidying, cleaning and hoovering
• Helping keep the office organised
• A little bit of computer work/spreadsheets
• Helping me catch up on the smaller jobs that can easily build up!

Nothing too complicated — just someone who is organised, reliable, friendly and comfortable speaking to customers.

You don’t need to be a computer expert, although having a little knowledge of spreadsheets and basic computer work would be a bonus.

Most importantly, I’m looking for someone with a friendly personality, a good smile and the confidence to speak to customers professionally when required. 😊

This role would help me massively by allowing the yard to remain open daily for customers who are passing by, while giving the right person some flexible extra work that can fit around their own life.

⚡ ELECTRICIAN WANTED – REGULAR KITCHEN WORK ⚡

We are looking for an experienced, reliable electrician to work alongside our team on a regular basis.

Our replacement worktop service is growing rapidly, and as a result, we are now carrying out more appliance upgrades and additional kitchen works for our customers.

We are looking to build a long-term working relationship with an electrician who can take on this work as required.

🔧 THE WORK

SMALL JOBS

• Disconnect oven and hob on the first visit to allow us to template the worktops
• Return once the worktops are fitted to safely reconnect the appliances

MEDIUM JOBS

• All of the above
• Install 32A circuits for new induction hobs where customers are changing from gas
• Disconnect sockets and switches where required to make the area safe
• Return once worktops and splashbacks are completed to refit and finish the electrical work

LARGER JOBS

• All of the above
• Install supplies for under-counter and under-unit lighting
• Upgrade sockets
• Replace light fittings
• Install supplies for boiling/hot-water taps
• Additional electrical works throughout the kitchen as required

In short, we are looking for someone who can cover the electrical side of our kitchen projects from start to finish.

📅 REGULAR WORK & ADVANCE BOOKINGS

Our work is generally booked around 4 weeks in advance, meaning there is the potential for a consistent and reliable stream of work for the right person.

We will provide all standard materials on site, with cable being the main exception.
We would like to agree set prices for the regular types of work, making the process straightforward for both sides.

For anything outside the agreed pricing structure or for more complicated jobs, we can arrange a site visit or provide videos/photos of the work so that it can be priced accordingly.

We received a phone call last week from a local business, National Mining Museum Scotland , who were in desperate need of a worktop installation as part of their ongoing refurbishment.
The challenge?

We had exactly one week — Thursday to Thursday — to:

✅ Choose the material
✅ Get it ordered
✅ Have it delivered from Sheffield
✅ Template the job
✅ Manufacture everything
✅ Get it back on site
✅ Install it

…and have it all completed before Friday, ready for their weekend booking.
With our workload already fully booked and material delivery times extremely tight, this one certainly pushed the limits!
But, typical Argyle Worktops Edinburgh fashion… we stepped up to the challenge. 💪😎
For this project we supplied and installed Fugenstone Sahara Quartz in 30mm, including 3 waterfall panels, with a continuous vein running beautifully across approximately 7 metres of the installation.

The final installation was completed on Thursday evening, working from 8pm until 10pm, right up against the promised deadline.

ON TIME.
ON BUDGET.
AS PROMISED. 👌

Another job where planning, manufacturing and installation all had to come together perfectly — and another deadline delivered.

✨ FROM TIRED LAMINATE TO QUARTZ — WITHOUT REPLACING THE WHOLE ROOM ✨

Another worktop transformation completed by Argyle Worktops Edinburgh, this time for a customer in Bonnyrigg.

The existing utility room was still perfectly usable, but the 38mm laminate worktops were tired and ready for replacement.
Rather than the expense and disruption of ripping everything out, we simply upgraded the existing units with beautiful 20mm Cotswold quartz by Fugenstone. 👌
We also replaced the existing inset sink with a modern undermount sink, giving the whole utility a much cleaner, more premium finish.
