Sometimes running a business can feel like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. The responsibility of keeping work coming in, making sure projects are delivered, and ensuring everyone has a wage at the end of the week can be a lot to take on.
Over the last few months, TTA has grown significantly, and with that growth has come a team of lads who have bought into what we're trying to achieve. Most of them I've known through previous projects, work, or through the local industry, but in recent months they've become part of the TTA family.
Today, every one of the lads got together and completely caught me off guard.
They surprised me with a personalised registration plate for the truck – T300 TTA.
To most people it might just look like a registration plate, but to me it means far more than that. It's a reminder that we're building something bigger than just construction projects. We're building a team.
As business owners, we often spend so much time worrying about the next contract, the next deadline, the next problem that needs solving, that we rarely stop and reflect on the positives. This gesture genuinely made me do that.
The fact that the whole team got together and thought enough to do something like this means a great deal to me. It tells me that the lads are happy, that they feel part of something, and that we're creating a company culture that people want to be involved in.
I couldn't be prouder of the team we've built. Not just because of the quality of work they produce, but because of the people they are.
To every one of the lads at TTA – thank you. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed, and this gesture means more to me than you'll ever know.
Now let's keep pushing forward and see just how far we can take this company together.
