Friday Shout-Out to Our Teams in England and Wales!

As another busy week draws to a close, we want to recognise the people behind the progress at AFG Group. Our teams across England and Wales continue to demonstrate the skill, professionalism and commitment that underpin the quality of our work.

England – MLN1, Chippenham

Under the leadership of Chris Smith, our teams continue to deliver a high standard of work on the MLN1 line in the Chippenham area.

Their contribution goes beyond completing individual tasks. It is the teamwork, care and consistent effort they bring to the project that keep work moving forward. By applying their skills and taking pride in the result, they continue to represent AFG Group with professionalism.

Thank you to Chris and everyone involved for your dedication and continued commitment to the project.

Wales – SWM2, Carmarthen

Led by Dan Massey, our Welsh teams returned to the SWM2 line in Carmarthen this week following a pause for the bird nesting season.

They have been tackling complex climbing operations in ecologically sensitive areas, where careful planning, sound judgement and close coordination are essential. These challenging conditions call for technical skill alongside consideration for the surrounding environment.

The team has returned with focus and determination, delivering a high standard of work and helping drive the project forward. Thank you to Dan and the team for the care and effort you bring to every task.

Two teams. One shared commitment to quality.

Across both projects, our people continue to build AFG Group’s reputation through their actions: supporting one another, working safely and taking pride in a job well done.

To everyone on site and behind the scenes — thank you. Your hard work deserves recognition.

Real Work, Real People, A Greener Future.

What wildlife might you spot this October? 🍂

Autumn brings plenty to look and listen for. You might see a dipper beside a fast-flowing river, hear a tawny owl after dusk or spot pink-footed geese flying overhead. It’s also rutting season for red deer, while badgers continue their night-time foraging.

If you’re out enjoying the countryside, keep your distance, stay on paths where possible and give wildlife the space it needs.

Which of these five have you seen or heard? Let us know in the comments! 👇
