OUT WITH THE OLD CONCRETE TILES, BACK TO BEAUTIFUL TRADITIONAL SLATE! 👌

This property was showing signs of an uneven roofline, with a noticeable wave in the existing roof.

Following our initial inspection, we suspected that the weight of the existing concrete roof tiles had placed additional strain on the original timber roof structure over the years.

Rather than simply replacing the roof with more heavy concrete tiles, we recommended returning the property to its original traditional slate appearance, providing a considerably lighter roof covering while maintaining the character of the property.

🔨 WORKS CARRIED OUT:

✅ Complete removal of the existing concrete roof tiles across the front and rear elevations.

✅ Thorough inspection of the existing timber roof structure once exposed.

✅ Original timber rafters inspected and found to be in good condition, allowing them to be retained.

✅ Existing timber wall plates reinforced with additional 4” x 2” timber to provide improved support and stability.

✅ Installation of new breathable roofing felt/membrane.

✅ Installation of new treated timber roof battens.

✅ Installation of beautiful new traditional slate roof coverings.

✅ Installation of new ridge finishes and associated roofing details.

✅ Neat finishing around roof junctions, edges and adjoining properties.

✅ Removal and responsible disposal of all existing roofing materials and waste.

🏠🔨 MAJOR OPEN-PLAN STRUCTURAL TRANSFORMATION – COYCHURCH, BRIDGEND 🔨🏠

Another major structural alteration undertaken by JN Building Services & Property Development Limited.

This project involved completely transforming the existing layout by opening up the kitchen and living areas to create one large open-plan family space.

There’s a lot more involved in a transformation like this than simply knocking a wall down! 👷‍♂️

Works included:

🔹 Removal of the existing fireplace and chimney breast at ground-floor level

We’ve recently completed a full roofline replacement for another happy customer, giving the property a much smarter, cleaner and low-maintenance finish.

Works completed:

🔨 Complete removal and replacement of the existing fascias
🔨 New uPVC soffits throughout
🔨 New guttering and downpipes
🔨 New dry verge system installed to the gable end
🔨 Cladded underneath the front entrance canopy to give it a clean, finished appearance

Another transformation underway 🧱🏠

We’ve recently completed the first stage of this property renovation, removing the old, deteriorated entrance step walls and completely rebuilding both sides with new brickwork.

The original walls had deteriorating mortar joints and areas of failing brickwork, so both sides were carefully taken down and rebuilt from the ground up, while keeping the original style and character of the entrance.

Next stage ➡️ approximately 100m² of external rendering to completely transform the property, including:

• Front elevation
• Both side elevations
• Extension
