Police had been trying to get access in this apartment due to a concerned family member and had damaged the door and wall. We replaced with a new fire door assembly (fd30s)

Removing victorian architrave and replacing it after a fire door and frame installation can be expensive and although this may be most people's choice to get it replicated this option is not always the best due to landlords being put under pressure to get their buildings up to 2026 standards.

To be cost effective we use pencil round par timber stepped on top of each other, each section supported with speacilist fire foam behind it to give it it's strength.

We custom made a fire door assembly (fd30s) for a laundry room as this room houses the boiler, electrical board, washing machine, dryer and is classed as high risk from fire risk assessors.

Two large fire doors were flagged as inadequate by the fire risk assessment and on inspecting them and the size of the openings our only option was to custom make 2 x fd30s so they could be correctly fire stopped between the frame and wall
