Today is our dadโ€™s and bossโ€™s birthday, and we miss him every single day.

Our dad, Malcolm, was part of the Oldham Brothers history, a Liverpool family name connected to the waste, recycling and demolition industry going back to 1946.

The business was originally built by our grandad, and then carried forward by our dad and his siblings. Over the years the Oldham name became well known across Liverpool for hard work in the industry.

Dad grew up around the yards, trucks and the day-to-day graft of the trade. Many people will remember him from those days, and the friendships he made along the way at Clarence Dock and Crown Street, Liverpool.

Years later, some of his children also worked within Oldham Brothers alongside him, learning the industry the same way he did.

Dad always had his own vision, and he wanted to build something for the next generation. Thatโ€™s why OB Skips & Recycling Ltd was created โ€” so the Oldham family could continue working in the industry he loved.

Today we are proud to continue the Oldham Brothers legacy through OB Skips, just as Dad wanted โ€” carrying on the Oldham family name and the legacy he wished to see continue, with the same values of hard work, honesty and service to our local community.

Happy Birthday Dad. We miss you every day.

Following the passing of our father, we would like to make it clear where you can find the team that has actually built and managed the skip hire side of the family name for over 30 years.

As many of you will know Six years ago, at our father's request, we evolved into OB Skips & Recycling Ltd to become his dedicated skip and recycling division for Liverpool.

While many of you moved with us then, some customers remained under the "Oldham Bros" name for billing. Regardless of the name on your invoice, the people, the service, and the expertise you have relied on for over 30 years have always been us.

๐Ÿ’› In Loving Memory of Malcolm Oldham ๐Ÿ’›

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Malcolm, our much-loved boss, brother, father, friend, and the heart of Oldham Brothers.

Founded in 1946, the company has been proudly built and carried forward by Malcolm and his family for generations. Born in 1955, Malcolm dedicated his life to the business, his team, and serving his community and changing the face of Liverpool over the years โ€” always leading with hard work, witty humour, and kindness.

His funeral service will take place at St. Maryโ€™s Church, 696 Knowsley Lane, L34 0JA, on Thursday 16th October 2025 at 3:00pm, followed by burial in the church grounds.

Malcolm will be forever remembered for his dedication, generosity, and legacy he leaves behind in the business and in all of us who had the privilege to know him.
