A longer look at the before and after from yesterday.

This is a new bed I added to a regular clients garden this week. It’s a large drive with more than enough space to turn around, so the client wanted to soften it. As this matures it will shield the view of the cars from the rest of the garden as well as making a nice entrance from the drive.

The ground works on this were much more than expected as the base for the drive was really well built, so after a lot of hard digging and incorporating new soil and compost but we got there.

The turf ended up getting laid a day later than planned so doesn’t look the best, if it doesn’t take for any reason (it being so hot this week) I’ll replace it for the client.

Looks brilliant so far and will get better as it all matures. Follow along to see a deeper look at the bed tomorrow.

For years I never really liked roses, but I’ve learned it’s not roses, it’s traditional rose beds that I don’t like.

A bed of just roses is just some sticks with roses on the top. Boring and often a bit ugly. Mix them in with beautiful perennials and ornamental grasses for a much fuller more modern look.

(Excuse the sweat, it’s was a bloody hot day)

If you want some help like this with your garden, I have some planting availability this autumn.

The owners havnt lived in this property for a few years so garden has gone truly wild. Cleared this front garden in the morning with the back in the afternoon on yesterdays video. Weeds in the drive have been sprayed and will be cleared next time.

This path is near my house and the old wall is a bit of an unknown entity, so often isn’t looked after. This buddleia growing out of it was blocking the pavement and starting to pull the wall apart. It wasn’t being taken care of by the occupants of the house it’s on the back of or the council, so decided to tidy it up myself.

No money involved, just trying to do my big to improve my local area.
