Another day back at Shoreham Cement Works, collecting more purchases from the Euro Auctions sale! 🏗️

Today’s collection included a toilet block, 2 digger buckets and 2 walkways, all lifted, loaded and transported using our HIAB- with the loaded height coming in at around 15ft, it was certainly an impressive load on the HIAB! 👀🏗️

The auction may be finished, but with just one week to get everything collected from site, it’s certainly keeping us busy!

We’ve driven past Shoreham Cement Works countless times over the years, so having the opportunity to actually work inside this incredible old site has been pretty special — and it definitely makes for a great backdrop for the HIAB! 💪

From plant & machinery to welfare units, containers and unusual loads — we can lift, load and transport it.

🚛 When a standard flatbed just isn’t quite long enough…

A little look at one of the tricks up our sleeve! 👀

Our extending flatbed getting ready to accommodate a 34ft welfare unit collected from Shoreham Cement Works today.

Being able to extend the vehicle gives us that extra flexibility for those longer and more awkward loads — because not everything comes in a convenient size! 😂

Another useful bit of kit in the EuroXpress fleet and another slightly unusual load on the move. 💪

🏗️ A slightly different collection for us today!

We’ve driven past Shoreham Cement Works more times than we can count and always wondered what it was like inside… today we finally got the chance to find out! 👀

Following the company going into liquidation, the contents of the site have been auctioned off and we were called in to collect a 34ft-long welfare unit along with a number of other items from around the site.

It’s certainly not your everyday collection location! The sheer size of the old cement works is incredible, with the huge buildings, conveyors and chimney making quite a backdrop for the trucks. 🚛

A really interesting job and definitely one we won’t forget — although we were obviously there purely to work and not at all excited about finally getting to have a look around! 😂

🏗️ BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY HIAB HIRE 🏗️

No Bank Holiday Monday off for us! 💪

Today’s job was about as local as they come — helping a local businessman just one road away from our yard!

Our HIAB was called in to lift and reposition 3 pontoons, 2 large pontoon blocks and one VERY large pond around the site.

With some seriously heavy and awkward items to move, the crane made light work of getting everything lifted and placed exactly where it needed to go. 👌

It’s always great to be working locally and helping another local business — even better when the journey to site takes barely any time at all! 😂

From machinery and containers to awkward, oversized and unusual loads, our HIAB is available for all sorts of lifting and transport jobs.
