🚽 A little more than just a toilet…

The Geberit AquaClean Mera Care has been specifically designed to help support independence in the bathroom. At the touch of a button, it can provide a personalised washing cycle followed by gentle warm-air drying, reducing or even eliminating the need for toilet paper. It also offers adjustable water temperature and spray intensity, programmable settings and automatic flushing via user detection.

Did you know? 💡 The Mera Care can even be set to a seat height between 440mm and 560mm during installation, allowing it to be adapted around the individual user’s requirements.

But jokes aside, he also highlights what really matters during a bathroom installation: the whole process felt comfortable, there was no unnecessary mess, and everything was taken care of.

✨ TRANSFORMATION THURSDAY ✨

This week’s transformation is a fantastic example of how the right design can completely change not only a bathroom, but the way the available space works for the customer.

For this project, simply replacing the existing shower wasn’t enough. We altered the entrance into the bathroom, allowing us to create a much more spacious and accessible wet area. This involved additional work outside the bathroom too, including making good and redecorating the hallway, doorway and ceilings to ensure the entire project was finished properly.

🚿 Inside the new wet room, the customer wanted to retain some separation between the showering area and the rest of the bathroom. We therefore constructed a bespoke half-height wall, finished with made-to-measure shower glass above, creating a practical splash barrier without closing off the room or taking away from that spacious, open feel.

One of our favourite details is the recessed shower niche. By constructing a new walk-in wardrobe on the opposite side of the wet room, we were able to cleverly incorporate the niche into the shower wall, providing somewhere convenient for everyday bathing essentials while adding a really elegant finishing touch.

The completed wet room also features a large level-access showering area, safety grab rails, shower seating, a rainfall and handheld shower, slip-resistant wet room flooring and easy-clean wall panelling, all designed around making bathing safer, easier and more comfortable without creating a bathroom that feels clinical.
