Isn’t it lovely when our client is so delighted with her garden she writes the boys this beautiful card. Landscaping can be so gruelling, gestures like this go a long way 💚. Very proud of Ben, Owen and Lewis for making our client so happy 🫶

After more years than we can count, Angela () is stepping into a well-earned retirement—and it’s hard to put into words just how much she means to us.

Angela has been the heart and mind behind our social media, blogs, and website content for so long, shaping our voice and sharing our story with such care, creativity, and dedication. Quite simply, she has been amazing.

While we are incredibly sad to see her go, we are even more grateful for the time we’ve had. What began as a small, part-time contract grew into something so much more—a lifelong friendship and a true part of our family.

Angela, thank you for everything you’ve given. We hope your days ahead are filled with long walks with your dogs, laughter with your grandchildren, and wonderful adventures in your bumble 🚌.

Please join us in wishing Angela all the very best as she begins this exciting new chapter—you will be deeply missed 💚

There's an old country saying that says when you can sit your bare bottom on the ground, the soil is warm enough to start planting veg seeds. Now, I'm not planning on trying that any time soon (or ever!), but I am going to be starting some veg seeds indoors this weekend.

Firstly, I'm keen to teach my children where 'proper' food comes from - I'm hoping they'll help with the seed sowing and take ownership of some of our crops.

Secondly, I just prefer the taste and texture of home grown stuff.

And finally, I'm not sure I'm happy about my food travelling half way around the world before it reaches my plate. OK, sometimes that's unavoidable if crops won't grow in the UK, but importing stuff that's been grown in this country for centuries just doesn't make any sense to me.

Anyhow. Rant over.

If you fancy growing some of your own food this year, you'll need to get your garden set up to support your efforts.

This blog explains the benefits of growing in raised beds and the practicalities of designing and building them.

Enjoy.

And if you need help to design or build a productive garden - you know who to call.
