We make things to last — visibly and structurally.

Traditional joinery techniques like dovetail joints aren’t decorative gestures for us; they’re practical decisions. They allow furniture to move naturally with the building, to age well, and to be repaired rather than replaced.

Every piece is designed for its setting, made slowly, and detailed with intention — so it belongs to the architecture, not just the room.

Good joinery doesn’t shout. It holds its ground quietly.

Not every mark needs removing.

When working with historic buildings, we resist the urge to make everything new. Scratches, softened edges and worn surfaces are part of a building’s language - evidence of use, movement, and time.

Our role is not to erase that history, but to work alongside it. To introduce new elements with care and restraint, allowing original materials to remain legible and honest.

Restoration, for us, is knowing what to leave untouched.

Both the en suite and main bathroom were completely transformed during this project — spaces reimagined with intention, care, and a deep respect for how people actually live. Every inch considered, every detail purposeful.

These rooms echo some of our work aboard the : warm light, tactile materials, quiet luxury, and a sense of calm that settles the moment you step inside. Spaces that don’t just function well, but feel good.

Bathrooms should be more than practical. They should be places to pause, reset, and breathe. As the saying goes, “The bathroom is where the day begins and ends - make it a place worth returning to.”

And of course, they should leave room for life’s lighter moments too — where bubbles and familiar soaps and scents are enjoyed, rubber ducks bob up and down, and the day’s worries float away.

From clever use of space to layered lighting and crafted finishes, these two rooms now serve as true sanctuaries: private, restorative, and quietly joyful.
