A three room AC system installed today in Potterhanwoth. That was a good day's work for 2 of us and the customer is now feeling the benefit of lovely cool air which will also heat cheaply in winter. It works hand in hand with the Solar PV and battery storage system we installed here last month.

I feel like we need to make our position clear — we are pro-solar - It is our business and has been for almost 20 years.

At Sparks Electrical, we install solar systems for homes and businesses across Lincolnshire and nationwide because we believe renewable energy is the future and it gives huge benefits.

We love that our customers see and reap the rewards from their investments following our installations.

WE DO NOT believe in covering prime farmland around communities like Metheringham with industrial-scale solar farms simply because it is the easiest and most profitable option for large developers that have no regard for our communities. Most of these companies aren't even UK based.

There is a better way.

Thousands of homes, commercial buildings, warehouses and industrial units could be generating clean energy from their rooftops without sacrificing valuable farmland or changing the character of our countryside.

As a local independent business built in this area, we believe renewable energy should support communities — not come at their expense.

I regularly walk my dog in the fields that are now going to be ruined with solar panels! I'm disgusted!

Solar done properly means:

Roofs before fields
Local generation for local people
Protecting productive farmland wherever possible

Renewable energy is essential.
But where and how it is forced on us matters. To us all!
