✨ A truly bespoke entrance, designed around what was already in place.

This customer wanted something special, unique and completely tailored to their property, while making use of the existing timber posts that had marked the entrance for many years.

Rather than removing them, we incorporated them into the new design by cladding the existing posts in the same South African hardwood used on the main gate, creating a seamless and premium finish.

The gates feature a bespoke steel frame, powder coated in satin black, combined with beautiful hardwood infill to give the entrance a timeless yet contemporary look.

The existing posts were also positioned differently to where the new gates needed to sit. To overcome this, we designed and manufactured bespoke steel caps for the tops of the posts to match the gate frames, along with an additional infill panel between the newly cladposts and the gate opening. The gate position was carefully set back behind the existing laurel hedging, creating a really neat and integrated finish.

We also incorporated a large Dropbox mailbox into the side panel, giving the customer a practical feature without compromising the overall design. 📮

🏡 Bespoke Electric Gate Installation

At this property, the customers wanted to add a greater level of security to their large entrance and driveway, while ensuring the new gates complemented the character of the property.

We settled on a bespoke bow-top design with open steelwork, maintaining a traditional look while introducing a subtle modern touch with golden oak composite boarding to the lower section of the gates. Matching side panels were also installed to provide complete security across the entrance.

The gates are powered by NICE L-FAB underground motors, providing a discreet automation solution while keeping the clean appearance of the gate design. The system is operated via remote controls and a Comelit GSM intercom, with a vehicle detection probe on exit for convenient hands-free access.

The gates and side panels have been finished in a durable black powder coating, complemented by the warm golden oak composite boarding.

To complete the installation, we also added the house name to the curved wall, designed to tie in seamlessly with the style and shape of the new gates.

🔧 Underground Gate Automation Upgrade

We recently attended this property to upgrade a set of aluminium gates where the existing underground motors had worn out over time and were no longer operating reliably.

We carefully removed the existing gates and installed a new set of NICE LFAB 24V underground motors, taking particular care to ensure the hinge geometry was perfectly aligned with the existing top hinge points for smooth and reliable operation.

As the previous system was 240V, we also re-cabled the installation to accommodate the new 24V automation system, along with replacing the existing control panel.

The customer’s existing intercom was retained, while we added a new vehicle detection ground loop, providing convenient automatic exit from the property without the need for a remote or keypad.

Being aluminium gates, the installation required a little extra attention. We retained the specially fabricated existing motor shoes and ensured the motor box heights were accurately maintained to match the original installation.

Our customers needed to replace two sets of aging timber gates that had become rotten over several areas, and the existing automation system was no longer operating reliably.

To maintain the property’s original appearance while providing a much more durable solution, we manufactured two new gates in a similar style using heavy-duty 100x50mm steel box section. The frames were finished with a black powder coating and complemented with anthracite composite boarding, creating a smart, modern finish that will stand the test of time.

As the existing cabling was still in excellent condition, we installed new Nice Toona 4 above-ground motors, along with new control panels and all associated automation equipment to ensure reliable performance.

To meet the customer’s specific requirements, one set of gates was also programmed with a time clock, allowing automatic opening and closing at scheduled times.

A simple upgrade can completely transform the appearance and functionality of an existing gate system.

For this project, the customer wanted to refresh their existing automated gates rather than replace them. We replaced the failed control panel, removed the old timber infill, and installed new Golden Oak composite boarding to provide a modern, low-maintenance finish.

To enhance security and convenience, we fitted a new Comelit GSM intercom with an integrated keypad, allowing secure access from anywhere. We also professionally resprayed the existing gates, giving them a fresh new look to complete the transformation.
