What happens beneath your sports pitch matters.

Compaction can lead to waterlogging, poor root growth and weaker grass. Aeration helps open up the soil, improve water movement and support a healthier, more resilient playing surface.

Healthy pitches start beneath the surface.

With rain finally appearing in the forecast, ground conditions are starting to become more suitable for aeration, allowing us to prepare pitches for the demands of winter.

Keep an eye out for our teams working across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire over the coming weeks.

We still have availability for additional aeration work this winter, so if your pitches would benefit from some attention, please get in touch.

Another busy weekend, over at Caistor Town Cricket Club . They have some Chafer Grubs in the outfield and the crows 🐦‍⬛ & badgers 🦡 are doing there best to ruin it. There has been a spray earlier on in the year of acelepryn. On the ECB Pitch Advisors recommendations we have been in and given the outfield a good scarify and disc seeded the outfield 2 ways with a special grass seed from Hurrells Seeds. Which worked perfectly with the John Deere , no wastage Vredo Dodewaard BV Just need to pop back and apply the Mivena Specialty Fertilizers 5-6 month controlled release. Ben Bierley

Some contract work for in the Boston area. Rob had sprayed the old lawn off. Once dead we have cleaned the surface with our Amazon scarifier collector. Then we have used our John Deere Aercore and relieved the compaction with 2”x2” spacings. Then used the vredo disc seeder in multiple directions to get some new luxury lawn seed worked in. Followed by an application of mivena 5-6 month release fertiliser, which will help the new seed and lawn get established.
