Curtains (or Roman Blinds )and wallpaper do not need exactly matching patterns to belong in the same room. Often the more useful connection is a shared colour, with one design taking the lead and the other giving it space. Look at this Pure Edit image of fabric and wallpaper
Compare the fabric folded as it will appear in the curtains or blind, alongside a wallpaper sample large enough to show the repeat. Two small flat samples can hide the scale of both designs. Include the sofa, rug or headboard if those are staying.

The lining is easy to overlook when choosing curtains, but it affects much more than the view from outside.

For a bedroom, blackout lining can help control light passing through the fabric. For a fuller, more substantial finish, interlining may be worth considering.

They do different jobs — and blackout lining alone will not stop light entering around the edges of poorly planned curtains.
