Powering Lincoln City Football Club for the season ahead ⚡

Straight after the final whistle of last season, our team was straight to work on a major electrical infrastructure upgrade at Lincoln City FC's stadium.

The scope: removing three legacy supplies and installing a new 550kVA supply with new submains and switchgear around the stadium. Our engineers carried out a full study of the existing distribution network and worked alongside colleagues at National Grid to design the upgrade the club needed.

This gave the stadium the capacity for growth, including a 400A supply to the Rilmac Stand, ready to feed the new fan zone facility and commercial kitchen as part of the wider Imp Territory project; another huge part of this summer's programme at the club.

A great job by the team at Brook and Mayo from start to finish, and another good example of our continued relationship with Vistry Group and our amazing supply chain.

Mental Health Awareness Week is an important reminder that checking in with people can make a real difference.

Working in the construction industry can bring a huge amount of pressure — tight deadlines, demanding environments, long hours and the day-to-day stresses that can arise on site. Added to that, there is still a stigma around talking openly about mental health.

That’s why it’s so important to take the time to talk, listen and check in on one another. A simple conversation can go a long way.

We're proud to regularly raise funds for The Electrical Industries Charity, who do incredible work supporting people across the energy and electrical sector, including providing vital mental health support.

No one should feel like they have to struggle alone. It’s always good to talk.

We’re delighted to celebrate the successful completion of the CATCH extension project, where we were proud to play our part as the electrical contractor. It has been a fantastic project to support, helping deliver a high-quality new facility designed to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving industry.

The completed extension will provide an important hub for skills development, conferences, collaboration, and member networks focused on emerging renewable energy sectors. Creating spaces that encourage innovation, learning, and industry connection is vital as the transition to cleaner energy continues.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. We’re proud to have contributed to a development that will support future growth, opportunities, and progress across the renewable energy sector.

Last weekend, 29 of the team from Brook and Mayo Limited headed up to York for our annual 'Spring Conference' — and what a weekend it was...

Over two great days we had the chance to explore the city, enjoy some well‑earned time together in York’s hostelries, and take part in an afternoon of team‑building at the fantastic Yorkshire Activity Centre. Quad biking, axe throwing, and clay pigeon shooting might not be core skills for electrical contracting — but they certainly brought out some healthy competition and revealed a few unexpected talents (particularly when it came to axe throwing!).

Most importantly, the weekend gave us time away from the tools and day‑to‑day pressures to reconnect as a team. Everyone genuinely enjoyed the experience, and it reinforced something we genuinely believe at Brook and Mayo Limited: our people are our greatest strength.

We value all our employees and recognise the importance of bringing the team together from time to time — building relationships, strengthening trust, and having some fun along the way. Events like this aren’t just a reward; they’re an investment in the culture and camaraderie that help us do our best work every day.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for making it such a great weekend.
