This property belongs to a loyal, long-term client whose home I first painted almost a decade ago. Since then, I’ve returned for upkeep—proof that quality workmanship speaks for itself.
The main challenge this time was the north-facing render, which had been prone to damp and fungal growth. To ensure a long lasting result, I applied Sandtex Smooth Masonry in Soft White, enhanced with an Owatrol UK anti-fungicide additive (supplied by Lincoln Crown Decorating Centre). This combination gives a durable, clean finish that will stand up to the elements for years to come
Next, attention turned to the Windows that had suffered from heavy sun exposure and had begun to rot in one place. Using the Repair Care system, I restored the woodwork before finishing with Macpherson Trade Paints white gloss, perfectly contrasted against Crown Trade ‘Leaf Green – RAL 6001’ gloss on the doors and sills.
Finally, the ironwork gates were fully prepped and protected with Bedec MSP, ensuring both durability and a stylish lustre.
The results? Windows that are safeguarded for another 3–5 years and render protection expected to last up to a decade with minimal maintenance.
