A recent repair to oak frame on a 16th century old nunnery . Removing a cement fillet that has been rendered over the oak beams causing massive deterioration. Replaced with lime and specially sourced reclaimed bricks 🧱 Alowing the building the breathe once again ! And hopefully last few more years 😊

We are currently working on a large project, but here are a few shots of a lovely little job that was completed a few months ago. Sadly, sections of the frame were too heavily decayed to be salvaged, so new air dried oak beams slip tenons and pegs were installed. The panels were the infilled using h**p blocks and lime lime render.

A recent Limecrete floor we did replacing cold damp quarry tiles laid on earth . Flagstones will be laid after in lime to give a breathable warm floor . Also insulating lime basecoat plaster and lime topcoat .
