Kingsbourne Academy – Nantwich

Construction began on the new Kingsbourne Academy site in Nantwich in June 2025 and was completed for the 2026 school year. AMS Cladding had the pleasure of working on this project, providing a range of wall cladding solutions to offer a striking aesthetic.

The front facade uses a combination of 12mm Cedral Click-Woodgrain (Pewter C54) Plank Rainscreen Cladding along with a 12mm Equitone Rainscreen Cladding System in green around the entrance canopy.

Equitone Rainscreen is also used in various colours along the classroom sides to create a fun environment for the children.

Two Brett Martin polycarbonate rooflight systems with a pearlescent finish were fitted to diffuse natural light along one side of the building due to a high treeline.

Wall Cladding

Plank Rainscreen Cladding Specification – Etex 12mm Cedral Click-Woodgrain (Pewter C54), Fixed to Timber Subframe System, Rainscreen Insulation Board, Breather Membrane, fixed into New CP Board & SFS Framing System.

Panel Rainscreen Cladding Specification – Etex (Exteriors) UK Ltd Equitone Rainscreen Cladding System, comprising 12mm thick Equitone Equitone Smooth (colour as stated below) A2 Certified Fibre Cement Panels, Face Fixed to Timber Subframe System, Rainscreen Insulation Board, Breather Membrane, fixed into New CP Board & SFS Framing System.

Rooflight System

Canopy Rooflight Specification – Brett Martin Daylight Systems Limited. 16 thick, 7wall polycarbonate glazing system with an aluminium perimeter trim system; glazing colour – Glass Pearlescent; including all trims, fixings, caps.

LANCASHIRE CRICKET CLUB SPORTING FACILITY - Farington, Lancashire

The LCC Farington facility is a modern, dual-purpose cricket facility combining professional-level infrastructure with community access. The eye-catching pavilion building with it’s sharp angles has been constructed with an emphasis on sustainability.

The triangular roof is constructed using a Sika SikaShield RBM Inverted Roofing System comprising ballast and paving, along with 165mm of insulation to achieve a U Value of 0.18. A 6.5m Brett Martin Glass Link Modular Rooflight was added to provide natural internal light.

Soffit’s were installed using APL Slimwall CPS/SSF in a modern SuprAnodic Bronze power coat.
The walls are clad with 75mm x 25mm thick Canadian Douglas Fir Vertical Boarded Timber Cladding, and aluminium architectural louvre to give a striking aesthetic. 150mm K-ROC Karrier Panel insulation is used to achieve a 0.12 U Value for exceptional energy efficiency.

Wall Panels

Timber Cladding Specification – 75mm x 25mm thick Canadian Douglas Fir Vertical Boarded Timber Cladding (Non-Treated), fixed to Horizontally fixed 38x40mm Chamfered Treated Timber Battens, fixed into Subframe, fixed through 130mm thick Rockwool Rainscreen Duo Slab Insulation and Breather Membrane, into SFS Stud Framing System. All associated flashings are 2mm thick Polyester Powder Coated Aluminium.

Louvre Cladding Specification – AP70LCP aluminium, colour/finish: class 2 60 micron PPC-RAL 7010 Tarpaulin Grey, 25mm PYROSORB c/w insect mesh connect to architectural louver.

Backing Panel Specification – Kingspan K-ROC Karrier Panel, Spectrum (Basalt RAL 7012) Coated Steel Outer Sheet, Bright White Coated Steel Liner, 150mm thick stonewool Insulation Core to achieve 0.12 U Value. All associated flashings are 0.7mm thick Plastisol Coated Steel.

Roofing System

Flat Roofing Specification – Sika SikaShield RBM Inverted Roofing System, comprising Ballast & Paving, SikaRoof Water-Infiltration Reduction, 165mm thick Sikatherm EPS 200 031 RJ1 Inverted Insulation to achieve 0.18 U Value, SikaShield B79 MG (Grey Mineral) 4mm thick Torch Applied Cap Sheet,SikaShield E74 PA SA 3mm thick Self Adhesive Underlay, on 25mm thick Marine Grade Overlay, to Tata Steel D159 1.25mm thick Enamel (Bright White) Coated Steel Structural Deck (25 Year Guarantee).

Rooflight Specification – Brett Martin Glass Link Modular Rooflight, 1 run Glass Link 6500mm long x 1580mm wide, comprising 3 modules 2150mm wide, with Standard Dual Colour Frame (Anthracite), Glazed with 3Glass Panes per Module, Clear Glass, comprising 6mm Toughened Outer, 14mm Argon Filled Cavity, 9.5mm Lamited Inner, to achieve Ur Value Ur-Value 1.9 W/m2K / Ud-Value 1.37 W/m2K.
Fascia Cladding Specification – APL Slimwall CPS/SSF, 3mm thick Polyester Powder Coated (SuprAnodic Bronze) Fascia Flashings, concealed fixed to Subframe.

Northern Removals Hub Warehouse

AMS Cladding have recently completed the wall and roof cladding works on the new John Mason International Northern Removals Hub for DJL Construction.

The 27,250 sq ft Northern Removals Hub on the Merseyside-Lancashire border features a combination of 25,500 sq ft of ground floor warehousing with four loading bays, and 1750 sq ft of office space over three levels.

The building is constructed using Tata Trimapanels at 90mm thick in Oyster, and Trisomet 333 wall panels at 80mm thick in dual shades of Alaska Grey and Oyster. The roof is constructed of Tata Trisomet 333 – 120mm thick composite roof panel with Brett Martin Trillite GRP 24 energy saver FAIRS factory assembled triple skin rooflights.

Drainage systems include Trimline gutter rainwater pipes and external 100mm rainwater pipes in anthracite grey.

Wall Panels - Trisomet 333 80mm thick, Prisma finish, RAL 7000 Alaska grey, RAL 7035 Oyster – 0.25 u value
Trimapanel 1m & 600mm mod 90mm thick, Prisma finish, RAL 7035 Oyster – 0.24 u value

We have something spectacular to share with you!

AMS Cladding have recently completed the stunning wall cladding works on Vault – the new Preston Youth Zone based opposite the bus station in Preston City Centre. This state-of-the-art youth centre will provide young people with opportunities to engage in activities, helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential.

The wall systems feature a rainscreen system using Euroclad, Rainspan 1200mm Module Composite Wall Panel and Etex Rainscreen Cladding System, comprising 8mm thick Equitone Tectiva & Linea A2 Certified Fibre Cement Panels, on a Nvelope Secret Fix Subframe, into Euroclad Rainspan Carrier Panel.

A contrasting yellow Proteus Metal Mesh Screen Cladding System was installed to appeal to the target audience.

LIDL SUPERMARKET – BURNLEY

AMS Cladding have recently completed a new Lidl Supermarket Construction Project on Manchester Road in Burnley.

The site had housed the former Reel Cinema since 1997, which was demolished to make way for the 1300sqm supermarket.

Our system comprised of Lidl specification ArcelorMittal Pflaum Wall Panels, Hairexcel Coated Steel Outer Sheet, Hairplus Coated Steel Liner, and 180mm thick Mineral Wool Insulation Core to achieve a 0.25 U Value. The roof was made from ArcelorMittal Ondatherm Trapezoidal Composite Roof Panels, Hairexcel Coated Steel Outer Sheet, Hairplus Coated Steel Liner, and 140mm thick LPCB PIR Insulation Core to achieve a 0.16 U Value.

Xaverian College – Manchester

Xaverian College in Manchester demolished their Sunbury Building, which dates back to the 1840’s, to make way for a new state-of-the-art science hub, providing new labs and facilities for over 1000 students at their prestigious site in Rusholme.

AMS Cladding installed a decorative Anodic Bronze plant screen rainscreen facade around the top of the building to cover an array of solar panels and plant. Bronze window spandrels were also installed to provide a modern aesthetic that contrasts perfectly with the sandstone and white brickwork.
