☀️ What does community energy look like in action?
This week, our Sussex University intern Syafira joined Frank on a maintenance visit to the at King’s Academy Ringmer, checking everything was generating as it should and making sure the system was performing well.
The solar panels on the school’s roof don’t just generate clean electricity, they help reduce energy costs and keep more money in the school, where it can be spent on pupils and learning instead.
That’s why community energy matters. Local people investing in local renewable energy, creating benefits that stay local.
A huge thank you to Syafira for creating this brilliant reel 🎥 and for capturing a behind-the-scenes look at community energy in action. She’s also working on a blog about what she learned during the visit, so keep an eye out for that soon.
We think every community should have the opportunity to generate its own clean energy and see the benefits close to home. 🌱
