PROJECT UPDATE – INDUSTRIAL INSTALLATION | GLENROTHES

It’s been another busy week for the CAMTECH team, with great progress being made across our industrial projects!

This week, our electricians have been making excellent progress on a new section of a manufacturing facility in Glenrothes, where CAMTECH has been appointed as the electrical contractor to deliver the installation.

🔴 Our scope includes:

⚡ Electrical power distribution and installations
💡 Lighting and emergency lighting
🔧 Cable containment and associated infrastructure
🔌 Power supplies for new equipment
🎛️ Control systems and equipment integration in the next phase

The photographs show some of the progress made so far, with containment, cabling and electrical infrastructure beginning to take shape.

What makes projects like this particularly exciting is our ability to support the client from the initial electrical installation right through to the control systems that will operate their equipment.

It’s exactly the type of work we enjoy delivering, bringing together our electrical, control and instrumentation expertise under one roof.

👏 A big well done to our team on site for their continued hard work, attention to detail and the high standards of workmanship being delivered.

There’s plenty more to come on this one as the installation progresses and we move towards the controls phase.

⚡ WE’RE HIRING – COMPEX ELECTRICIAN / CONTROL SYSTEMS ⚡

As CAMTECH Services continues to grow our industrial workload, we’re looking for an experienced CompEx Electrician with Control & Instrumentation experience to join our team on a full-time basis.

We’re looking for someone experienced in:

⚡ Industrial electrical installation
💥 Hazardous-area installation, inspection & remedial works
🎛️ Control panels and control systems
🔧 Instrumentation & field devices
🔌 Motors, valves, sensors and associated equipment
📋 Testing, commissioning & I/O checks
🛠️ Shutdown, maintenance and project works

CompEx certification is essential, along with a strong industrial electrical background. Previous control and instrumentation experience is also important for this role.

You’ll be joining a growing engineering company working across a varied portfolio of industrial projects, with CAMTECH continuing to invest heavily in specialist training, qualifications and career development.

📍 Based from Leven, Fife, with travel to client sites as required.

As part of our ongoing council contracts and multi-trade projects, we have painting & decorating capability within our own team, allowing us to provide a more complete service to our clients.

Our commitment to those contracts means there are occasions when we have availability within the team – and rather than leaving that capacity unused, we’d like to offer it to our local domestic and light commercial customers.

We’re making a few upgrades to the Vans, which means our Ford Fiesta Zetec Van is now looking for a new home.

This has been a great little van for us. Despite the higher mileage, it runs well and has been reliable throughout its time with CAMTECH.

❤️ INTRODUCING CAMTECH FEEL GOOD FRIDAY ❤️

At CAMTECH, we’re proud of how far we’ve come – but we haven’t forgotten where we came from or the communities that have supported us along the way.

⚡♻️ Project Progress Update – Midlothian Council Recycling Centre 🚧

A few weeks ago, we shared the start of our refurbishment works at a Midlothian Council recycling centre. Since then, our team has been making excellent progress, overcoming challenges and keeping the project moving forward.

As with many refurbishment projects, we’ve encountered a few unforeseen obstacles along the way. These required the installation of new containment around the perimeter of the building, but we’re delighted with how the finished installation has turned out. It’s another example of delivering a practical solution without compromising on quality.

With the first fix now complete, we’re well into the next phase of the project as the final fit-out continues.

A huge credit to our team for the professionalism, workmanship and attention to detail they’ve shown throughout the project. We’re proud of the standards they’re delivering every day.

We’d also like to give a big thank you to Fife Signs for producing our new CAMTECH construction site signage. Strong partnerships with trusted local suppliers are incredibly important to us, and it’s great to work alongside businesses that share our commitment to quality and professionalism.

We were delighted to welcome Deputy First Minister Jenny Gilruth MSP and the team from the Scottish Government, along with the Federation of Small Businesses, to CAMTECH this week.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share our journey—from starting as a small local electrical contractor to becoming a growing engineering business, while staying true to our roots here in Leven.

The visit wasn’t just about showing our new premises. It was about sharing our vision for the future, our passion for developing people and engineering skills, and our commitment to continuing to invest in the local community that has supported us from day one.

We’re incredibly proud to be moving into part of the former Silberline facility. For many local families, including my own, the site has a long history, and it’s a privilege for CAMTECH to play a small part in creating new opportunities where so many skilled people once built their careers.

I’d also like to thank all of our customers, suppliers and business partners for the trust they’ve placed in CAMTECH over the last few years. Whether you’ve invited us into your home, trusted us with a commercial project or partnered with us on major industrial work, every opportunity has helped us grow into the business we are today.
