Temporary Accounts Assistant / Office Administrator (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for a reliable, organised, and experienced Temporary Accounts Assistant / Office Administrator to join our team on a 6-month maternity cover contract.

This role would suit someone with a strong finance and administration background who is confident managing multiple priorities and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.

Key Responsibilities
Processing timesheets using our Tracking Management System
Obtaining and reconciling job sheets from engineers in line with submitted timesheets
Preparing and raising customer invoices using Xero
Processing supplier invoices via Hubdoc and Xero
Completing bank reconciliations
Managing and maintaining the employee training matrix
Supporting additional finance and accounts duties as required by the business
Chasing overdue accounts and managing credit control processes
Answering and directing office telephone calls
Liaising professionally with customers via email and telephone
Managing the company vehicle fleet, including arranging servicing, maintenance, and repairs
Scanning, uploading, and maintaining company records and documents
Providing day-to-day general office administration support
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar finance and administration role is essential
Proven experience using Xero and Hubdoc is essential
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Confident communication and customer service skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and general office systems
Benefits
Competitive salary based on experience
Holiday pay calculated on a pro-rata basis
Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 15:00 (including a 30-minute lunch break)
27.5 hours per week

🔴🟢Securcom Systems 🟢🔴

Work commenced today at a poultry site in Herefordshire.

The project consists of 300kW of ground-mounted solar PV integrated with 250kW of battery energy storage, engineered to maximise on-site generation, reduce grid import, and lower operational energy costs through peak shaving and increased self-consumption.

The PV array is installed on a BAKS UK Cable Management ground-mounted structure, with Agri Management Solutions carrying out the installation of the ground screw foundations, providing a low-impact, structurally efficient foundation solution.

Once commissioned, the system will deliver measurable electricity cost savings, improved load management, and increased energy resilience for the site.

Good progress on site as the installation phase gets underway.
