It’s worth thinking about overheating at the planning stage, not once your extension is already built.

An overhang can be a relatively small addition to the build, without taking up valuable floor space. It can help retain natural light, provide shelter from the rain and naturally keep your home cooler as our summers get warmer.

Planning an extension? DM me if you’d like to talk through your ideas.

My new designer bag has arrived. From so many pretty colours to choose from. And such a great bag to carry on site. Absolutely in love with it.

While they’re wondering how long I’ll be…
I’m thinking about how this space will feel for my client.

Between a full week and a few side-eyes,
and drawn to those warm terracotta tones,
this is where it all comes together—
not with samples, but with connection.

Cheerful weekend energy ☕️

Mid-century… but make it feel like your family 🧡

I’ve been playing with this mood board + 3D concept for a project inspired by mid-century living, with a little Bauhaus clarity woven in. Think clean lines, honest materials, and that beautiful balance between function + joy.

And… planning application officially submitted 🎉We’re so excited to be on board with this lovely family and help bring this vision to life.

In this scheme:✨ Warm wood tones + earthy terracottas → grounding, reassuring, that “home after a long day” exhale✨ Muted greens → calm focus (perfect for homework, slow mornings, or just a moment to yourself)✨ Soft creams + off-whites → give the brain space to breathe✨ And those Bauhaus-inspired pops of primary colour? → little sparks of energy, creativity, and play

Mid-century design always understood something we’re only just putting words to now:a home should work with you, not against you.

Spaces to gather.Corners to retreat.Flow that feels natural, even on the chaotic mornings.

This is family life, but held. Structured. Supported. Not perfect, just intentionally designed.

And honestly? That’s where the magic is ✨

A little love letter to thoughtful design 💌

We’ve just submitted a beautiful rear extension in Bedford Conservation Area… and proof that small doesn’t mean safe or forgettable.

This one is all about the details ✨
A soft, calming palette.
Quiet textures.
Spaces that breathe.

Because when you design with intention, even a modest extension can completely transform how a home feels to live in.

And the glow-up doesn’t stop there…
An outdated shower room on the half landing is getting a new life as a utility room : practical, purposeful, and making everyday living just that little bit smoother (because real life deserves good design too).

Big impact.
Gentle energy.
Designed around living, not just looking. 🤍

We always start with sketches. It’s where ideas come out quickly, without overthinking, just to see what’s possible.

Then the measured survey comes in, and that’s when things shift.

This is where the design becomes real. More precise. More intentional.
It’s no longer about what could work, but what will work.

I see it all the time, people trying to save money by measuring themselves or ask if we can include it as part of our fees. And I get it. But this is one of those steps where cutting corners usually comes back later.

A proper measured survey isn’t an extra. It’s the foundation.

Everything that follows depends on it.

Thank you for the good work.

Listening isn’t just part of the process, it’s our foundation.

We understand that your space is a reflection of YOU, not us.

That’s why we’re here to listen, understand, and collaborate to bring your vision to life.

Whether it’s your home, workplace, or shop, let’s start with a friendly chat, perhaps over a cuppa, and discover the perfect solution together. Your dream space awaits. ☕️🏡✨
