*Fixing someone else’s work.*

We were referred to this customer to rescue an existing solar and battery system that was underperforming, completely unconfigured, and buried in a messy, spray-foamed loft space.
A massive shout-out to the absolute workhorse Glenn from ⁠GRE Electrical Contractors Ltd He teamed up with Libby and did a mountain of heavy lifting to strip everything safely out of that tight loft space. Absolute legend and a pleasure to work alongside.
The rescue list:
1)Libby headed to Solax HQ for official manufacturer training before touching the kit.
2) Moved the batteries and inverter safely onto a clean external brick face. This is at the BACK of the property so will not be seen and the battery cover is the keeping everything insulated.

3)Customer had Tigos behind ground mounted panels but no communication hardware to diagnose generation drops. Once up and running Libby spotted a faulty panel.
We’ve put in a warranty replacement for this.
4) Fully re-configured a myenergi zappi EV charger that had never been set up correctly. Now connected up to Intelligent Go.

Next up: Heading back to site to lift their ground-mount array off the grass and onto a proper elevated frame.

A look at the Sigenergy DC EV charger on the bench.

In this video, Libby shows how the unit is plugged into his PV5.

Our customer drives a Nissan Leaf, which uses the legacy CHAdeMO charging port. Because CHAdeMO infrastructure is declining, the client is utilising an EV-BOY adapter to convert the Sigenergy charger’s native CCS connection.

A look at one of our recent installations. This particular unit is finished in Cotswold Green with a Mid-Oak lid.
These units are great for standard wall-mounting or freestanding installation on their manufacturer plinth.

Warranty specs include a 5-year guarantee on power electronics alongside an industry-leading 10-year guarantee on the outer enclosure.

The charger has been placed on top of a precast EV Block, this can all be installed much quicker for customers.
