We recently attended a property where the customer’s heating system was losing pressure daily, leading to concerns that there could be a hidden leak somewhere within the heating pipework.

Following our investigations, we established that the pressure loss was actually being caused by an issue with the heat exchanger within the boiler — rather than a leak beneath the floors or within the concealed heating pipes. 🔎

This is an important reminder for anyone experiencing regular pressure loss on their heating system.

⚠️ Before booking specialist leak detection, we strongly recommend having a suitably qualified heating/plumbing engineer carry out the appropriate checks on the boiler and associated components first.

Another drainage project successfully completed by Absolute Leak Detection Limited, this time in Grays, Essex.

Our engineers attended the property to investigate the existing drainage system before carrying out the required repairs and replacement works.

🔎 Initial Investigation

Before any excavation began, we carried out dye testing across the drainage system to confirm the individual drainage runs and establish exactly where each connection was travelling.

This allowed our engineers to properly plan the works before breaking ground and ensure the new drainage was installed and connected correctly. 🎯

Another successful drainage project completed by Absolute Leak Detection Limited 👷‍♂️

Our team was instructed to replace approximately 10 metres of below-ground drainage pipework after the existing clay drainage system was found to have multiple displaced joints, resulting in ongoing drainage issues.

The damaged clay pipework was carefully excavated and replaced with a new underground drainage system, extending to the existing manhole. As part of the project, we also installed a new gully, ensuring the system was ready for many years of reliable service.

Once the installation was complete, all excavated areas were backfilled with the appropriate sub-base materials and left level, providing the perfect foundation for the customer to complete their new driveway and side pathway.
