London Limestone Restoration — Project Complete 🏛️✨

Another incredible project completed in London!

This very rare and expensive fossilised limestone has now been fully restored, bringing the natural beauty, depth and character of the stone back to life.

It has been a real pleasure working on this project from start to finish, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed seeing the transformation unfold. The finished result is a fantastic example of what can be achieved with the right restoration process and specialist knowledge.

We’re extremely proud of the final finish and grateful to have been trusted with such a beautiful and valuable floor.

Another day working in the heart of Central London, and what a view! 🇬🇧🏙️

While carrying out the final stages of this 140m² fossilised limestone restoration, we’ve had some incredible views across London, taking in St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard, Blackfriars Bridge and Canary Wharf.

Tomorrow we’ll be finishing the restoration, and we’re looking forward to revealing the final results of this project.

It’s been a fantastic job, bringing this fossilised limestone back to life and restoring its natural appearance after years of construction marks, dull areas and contamination.

Fossilised Limestone Restoration – London | Blackfriars Bridge

Another specialist restoration project underway in the heart of London, just beside Blackfriars Bridge.

This fossilised limestone floor was only recently installed, but unfortunately the surface had been left with numerous dull areas, marks and staining caused by building works carried out after the floor was installed.

To make matters worse, the limestone had already been sealed, trapping dirt, marks and contamination beneath the sealant and leaving the floor looking uneven and tired.

Over the course of this week, we’ll be carrying out a full restoration process:

🔸 Remove the existing sealant to expose the true condition of the stone
🔸 Deep clean and prepare the limestone
🔸 Hone the surface using professional diamond pads to remove dull areas, marks and surface imperfections
🔸 Refine the finish to bring back the natural character of the fossilised limestone
🔸 Protect the finished floor with a breathable impregnating sealant, allowing the stone to breathe while providing long-term protection

The aim is to transform the floor from a dull, marked and uneven surface back into a clean, uniform and naturally beautiful limestone floor.

We Deep Cleaned 100 square meters of Amtico flooring in this property today.
The Customer is in the process of moving into the house and wanted the flooring brought back to its original condition before the furniture goes in.

Limestone Floor Restoration

Over time, limestone floors can become dull, marked, and increasingly difficult to keep clean as dirt and wear build up within the surface.

This limestone floor had lost some of its natural character and was in need of professional restoration.
The floor was thoroughly cleaned and restored. Once complete, it was protected with a breathable impregnating sealer to help resist staining while maintaining the natural appearance of the stone.
